Good to see you back and in good spirits, Osso.

I wasn't aware of the fact that you were a wine connoiseur. So too, am I.

As a matter of fact, I have just taken two bottles out of the cellar, one white, one red, and plan on hoisting a few celebratory glasses in your honor.

Errr, Gus, that one on the left looks like fermenting dish water and the one on the right looks like it might be Cool Aid purple grape that has been aged at least 40 years. Yummmmm

Diane breathes a sigh of relief that Gus hasn't brought his 'wine' to Eva's Venice Pallazio, which is filled with the finest wines and gourmet foods, either prepared or inspired by Cav.

Glad you're back, Ossobuco! I hope your eye gets lots better quickly. Not being able to focus seems daunting. I hope it has improved overnight. Please be careful that you don't trip over Pacco. Are you wearing an eye patch?

Hmmm, an eye patch. That would a nice (exotic) touch. And to make it really striking, put a patch over one of Pacco's eyes and take him for a walk. Wow! I can almost see it.

Gus is certainly welcome to bring his own wine to the party if that's what he prefers to drink. I do want all my guests to have their favorites. I promise there will be plenty of other options for the rest of us. Just check in at the bar and let them know your preferences.

Oh, and Pacco is most DEFINITELY welcome, too!

Eva, if Osso's Pacco is an invited guest, should I bring my Bichon Maddy to keep him company? He has a very chic bandana.

Piffy, I only wear the eye patch now in bed, so I don't put my thumb in eye while sleeping, or some such. I see I failed somehow to mention that they give you a numbing drop before they nick the eye to relieve pressure. Maybe I had some brain cells removed too.

Also, I had noticed before I left on this unscheduled sojourn to the halls of health that I hadn't seen Cav post much lately, is he ok?

Osso re Cav
Osso, I was told on another thread that Cav had announced he would be gone for a couple of weeks. I had noticed his absence and was concerned. I expect he will be back soon.

I recall that about Cav, too. I thought it was Cicerone. But I guess it was Cav, because C.I. never took a hiatus.
Osso, isn't the patch also to keep you from pressing your eye against the pillow. I vaguely recall that to be the explanation given me by a neighbor last year.

Pillows, geez, the threat of pillows!!!! But yes, those too.

CI was out for computer reasons and did expect to be gone quite a while, was back early because he got the right cord/attachment sooner than expected.

Our son fixed it without having to use the two adapters I purchased for the DSL two-line connection. I thought the old one was broken, because the two lights on the adapter was not lit although it was connected. With the help from the DSL tech people, he was able to get it working again. He was rather upset with me, because I detached the old system with a million wires, and stopped when I couldn't figure out how to connect the lines properly from his room to mine. I was a bit anxious, because I try to maintain a log of our investments almost daily, and need to connect to the web for market indeces and fund balances. All is working well. Even got back communication with friends in Malaysia. Wink
