I had no idea she/you were in need of surgery.
I wish I could have said something earlier.
I hope everything turns out better than expected.
I'll miss your delightful posts, while your away.

She hasn't mentioned anyone in the area as being particularly close. She does know people in the LA area, so I'm hoping that she's set up with someone there.

Ossobuco- I hope that when you read this, that everything is well.

Two and a half months ago, I had surgery to repair a lens that had slipped, after having had cataract surgery. The original surgery was 2 years ago. After the most recent surgery, my sight was HORRIBLE, and I was worried. But the doctor told me to "cool out". Anyhow, after 2 months, I had the stitches taken out, and immediately, the sight in that eye improved tremendously.

Take care, and know that you have lots of frends thinking about you.

((((HUGS))))

Bernie, that's a very nice offer. Do you have a cell phone or will you be able to check your email? I'm hoping we will have heard something by tomorrow.

Diane, thanks for the updates.

Osso and I had several conversations last month about her pending cataract surgery as she knew I am due for the same in the near future. She was concerned but not overly worried about good results and she had confidence in her physician. How disappointing to hear of complications because she was so looking forward to improved eyesight. The added expense of an additional surgery is an unwelcome burden.

Being the wonderful person that she is, I assume her neighbors are providing any assistance she needs. She may be reluctant to ask for help because her independence is very important to her.

But, Osso, now is the time to accept help from others if only to repay you for all the times you helped others.

Ossobuco--

I suppose in the cosmic order of things you are paying for clear mental vision with onery cataracts. Not nice.

Hold your dominion.

Ossobuco, here's hoping for successful surgery and improvement in your eyesight.

When we were hanging out in Florida with my husband's parents retired in Florida most all of them had cataract surgery at one time or another. Never knew anyone where the surgery wasn't helpful, including 2nd surgery.
