It just shows what a sick society we live in. I wonder what the lady [who was assaulted] thinks about the song.

@reasoning logic,
I absolutely concur...On the outside it seems hilarious, ( to some at first) but at the same token, If you think about it, people will do anything to make a buck. (it seems these days)

@reasoning logic,
Now to get back to things of which you asked me...

And who says, that I don't question him? and validate the Homage of reason, apposed to blindfolded fear? Who says I validate the existence of God, based on blindfolded fear? (if your willing to ask) (then be willing to accept my views and opinions, and don't dismiss them)

Great questions. What are your answers to these questions? If your answer is that you do question your God and your beliefs, is it possible to do it honestly without having a little understanding about the history of religion, psychology and anthropology?
When I mention these subjects I not suggesting that you get a degree in them but to simply study them in relation to religion and other beliefs.

I do in fact question God and his belief at times, Yes, because How God was revealed to me, and my personal relationship with him...is more valid, to me, than other(s) views an interpretations of him in conjunction to MY relationship with him...Is it a Good Idea to get other(s) interpretations of Him, God, Afterlife? And even disbelief? Yes, but I do not believe you need to go down the path of history of religion to do this...hence, why I am on this website...

People's interpretations, and broader perspectives, either for or against is MORE valid, than reading one thing that most would agree with...History of religion, Psychology, anthropology etc...

And if you disagree, than explain what understanding these Notions will open my eyes about, and if it is plausible, then I will read up on them...

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I understand your point through, look at this video...

http://www.mapsofwar.com/ind/history-of-religion.html

Which basically I am saying, I would rather hear from my brothers and sisters, (whether believers or not) than reading some book, or studying, things that only "lead" people to conclusions...their life experiences, views, and interpretations are more SOLID, than things that "lead to assumptions"

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
the thing is that when jesus (peace be upon him) returns. The situation of the world would be different, christians, muslims and all the pious people would be forced to enslaved and hunted everywhere around the world by the satanists (mostly the jews). and one other sign of his return is that he would come down on the wings of 2 angels, there are a few more major signs of his return. so when i see him coming with all these signs that Bible and Quran have told us. i don't think i would question him.

and one other thing is that Jesus (peace be upon him) will return as a human. he will not be having God powers... so please don't be stupid enough to ask questions like feed all the poor people or get me laid so i can believe u. i wonder how can questions like that don't hurt your intellect.

Yes, because like I said, My personal experiences with finding God. (raised Catholic, denounced, was Atheist, Heard God, searched every religion I could grasp, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Christianity, Confusious, Sikhism, Judaism etc...) and finding it was Christ, and NOW excepting Christianity, not Catholoism, Shows that my personal experience and relationship in conjunction to God, Afterlife. Shows that it isn't and wasn't about were I lived, raised, believed, nor is it based on the history of religion, (like you asked if it "needed to be" in order to be self-honest)...hence why I say that people perspectives and interpretations is more valid and solid proof either for or against, and even in hearing and listening to Atheists...It also Shows that I am being self-honest, and self-aware, with myself. But at the same token am willing to hear and listen to other peoples views and interpretations as well....Without needing to read and understand these things (history of religion, Psychology, Anthropology etc....

BTW. My sister has a degree in Psychology, and I am more than capable of having conversations about human and personal Psychology, without needing to read and understand it fully...

Yes, and indeed does hurt their intellect, because if you think about it. People on here have said feed the hungry, and we already crucified you once were not above doing it again....and like I said if you think about it....If Jesus did these acts in the first coming (fed the hungry) and people who deny him sent him to the cross. Why would you as doubters believe it was him, God in the flesh if he came and did it again>? You ALREADY "proved" that that is not sufficiant "evidence" and you WOULD in fact send him to the cross again...As far as the Get me laid regularly post, it isn't even worth the time to explain how much a post like that hurts an intellect in posting about if Jesus was here, that is in fact what you would ask him to do for you, apposed to "progressing humanity in some sort of way, and not personal agenda's"

Just so you know, a little back story on family guy (if you didn't know). Family Guy has actually been the only show (to my knowledge) to be cancelled twice but be restarted based on DVD sales alone. Not only that, but it's one of the highest rated shows on Adult Swim (among other stations as well) and industry analyst Marc Berman of Mediaweek said. "I don't think people expected it to be this highly rated. It's going to be like The Simpsons…it will last forever." I think the reason that some people don't like the show is because Seth MacFarlane he can be very outspoken on touchy matters and is very direct with them.

And, I will not be suprised in the least if it is cancelled Many more times in its existence....Or if it gets to the point where people are desensitized by the show. (shows from season 1 being hilarious, and not even funny to the slightest anymore) Or if it is on the air, but simply fades due to lack of imagination, just like South Park is still on, but is NOT NEARLY as viewed as it used to be watched...There is nothing beneficial, nor anything positive to gain by watching family guy...Just slams left and right about everything Seth feels "compelled" to make fun of...and the Simpsons, which is utter genius in it's scripts, and shows (messages) will always be remembered...

Just so you know, I did not miss your other post(s) about us going back and forth, and will answer your questions (posts) tomorrow....

As late as Newtons times he needed to keep secret his opinions of the godhood of Jesus in order not to be punish or even torture to death.

And just as Many have been tortured, and persecuted till death, in spreading the words of Christ, which is mainly about Piece, Love, Acceptance, Mercy etc...Just google Any Marytr or Saint if you don't believe me!

Quote:
From before Newton days to current times the good people of the bible are fighting against the advancement of science to the best of their abilities.

No they're not! I don't know where you live, but the U.S. is mainly Christian by religion, funny how the U.S. is one of the (if not the freeist Nations on the existence of the Globe), but yet Most are inclined to follow Jesus...(another example of "proof" or a sign you look for) but in ANY event, here in the U.S. 70 of EVERY 100 universities where started and founded by Christians...and there are many universities who are good at science. (University of Arizona with conjunction to Astronomy) and they have philosophers who embraced God, when gazing into the sky at night....If Good people from the Bible were against science, then they would have known from the Holy Spirit, back years ago, NOT to found universities, which "promote science, and it's studies" it is FOR FACT the ones who go on to study science who "try" to "destroy" religion and or Christianity, and go against what the Good people in Christianity founded and gave/did for them to learn....Surely an All knowing God forseen this happening, and would have stopped it BEFORE it started, if he did not approve of EVERY human as an equal, With free will to do as they pleased here on Earth! And if he was in fact NOT about piece, Mercy, Love, Acceptance etc...with which, when you speak of the Bible you ALWAYS bring up how God is in fact vengeful...as in the God of the Old Testament....And yet NEVER mention the God of the New, and everlasting covenant, Jesus, and what he did said and spoke of...WHICH IS ABOUT PIECE< LOVE<ACCEPTANCE<MERCY>ETC!!!

@BillRM,
And if in fact Christians are EVIL people with which you ALWAYS PRESUME! Than in what way are YOU personally progressing humanity?? There are organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, and Christians Children's Fund...Which is "proof" that Christians out there due care about humanity, and are ALL for Progressing it!!! (in which one of you fellow Atheists Brothers on here, actually works with, because I presume, whether he accepts their beliefs or not he can see that those Charities are actually "good things" So what do you do that is just as valid as one of these people who actually "show they value life, and wish to progress humanity''??

Forget your 1% of the Christian people who molest Children, or practice extreme hate, (who symbolize nothing but evil, Whether "said" believers or Atheists, nor any living God)...What about the 90+% who "actually" do Progressing humanitarian things??? If your willing to "harp" about evil wicked ones, and I answer your questions, than please answer mine....

@Chights47,
Chights, before I go any deeper with your post in which I am going to answer and respond too....I don't understand why you keep linking this video to me. I am in agreeance with you about this particular video, and with science and scientists...I also believe that this type of approach is much more valid than believing and accepting every scientific belief that exists for every circumstance(s) out there....I hope you take this to heart and reply this to some of your fellow Atheist brothers and sisters who seem to think that science is 100% correct ALL the time. The one regard in which I asked you pertaining to this video is what is his beliefs about religion? for he only mentions it for a few seconds, and never really discusses it in detail???

No you would not, Would you? Think about it, should it really matter if the lady was truly hurt or not??? think about what Logic said, it makes perfect sense and he summed it up rather quite nice, simple, and straight to the point....we do live in a completely fucked up society...that anyone out there would make millions off of what 2 youtube guys think is funny and ignorant....I will word it differently so you can understand...But I wonder how these 2 clowns on youtube would feel if it was there girlfriend/sister/mother who was potentially raped, and would they be happy with Antoine Dodson Auto-tuning their reactions to the act....

A TV show had an accident where they send a 30 repeat 30 pound cannon ball completely through a family home IE in one large hole and out another.

No one was hurt so people can see some humor in the happening however if one of the household members had been kill hell if even a family pet had been kill I do not think you would be seeing any humor being express over the matter as is now happening.

It does indeed matter how people reacted depending if harm had been done or not done by some event.

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
I guess I forgot that I previously linked the video to you but it is of significance. You believe the same things in which have only been asserted as truth for thousands of years yet you can't (or don't) appropriately question it. The reason I know that you don't appropriately question it is because you still believe, this either means that you avoid the actual truth or merely search for false conclusions to support your faith. I also don't mean that by "appropriately question" that you search directly for evidence that contradicts your faith, but merely ask a question and attempt to find all explainations and then evaluate without bias as to which is true.

Science is not, of course, correct 100% of the time, but I do believe that it is 100% true. Let me explain, science (generally speaking) only claims truth through it's credibility, the more something is proven, the more credibility that it has, and the more it is thought of as being true. Whether the statements are actually correct or not is irrelevent because if they aren't, then it will eventually be found and then corrected. Real science never jumps right off the bat and says "I'm stating this claim and it is true because I said so" or anything like that. If there is some unexplored scientific "territory" then all idea's that come from that are initially only hypothesis. Basically it's stating that they don't really know much about it yet are starting to take educated guesses about it and then it grows from there whether the ideas are true or not. So basically science is 100% true in direction, but not necessarily in all of it's "claims" along the way. So basically science leads us to what is true but occasionally can get a little lost on the way. Religion however, is just a stagnant pond in regards to truth. Because it is regarded as the "ultimate inerrant truth", it doesn't progress anywhere and just wallows in it's disingenuous claims forever...until it becomes only a myth of course.

As far as his personal beliefs I'm not exact certain, but if I had to take a guess. My first guess would be atheist or strong agnostic. I don't think it would be likely but he may also be a deist, although based on his other video's I greatly doubt any possibility of him believing in any personal deity.
