The problem is, what modern christians try to sell as the core of christianity, is not supported by anything other than their imagination. There is no textual support for what they are trying to profess is the core of christianity.

The ONLY thing they do try to use to support their case is paul's writings. In otherwords modern christians are nothing more than paulists. Paul is their god, not jesus. They worship paul's words. The rest of all the text does not support anything they try to claim.

I challenge you to prove me wrong.

Define "modern Christians" without reference to your have selected them in order to prove your trivial point which you can't fail to do because it logically follows from your definition.

Christianity is a way of life. That it contains cults and sects and orders, some of which are approved of on the subsidiarity principle, is natural.

Catholic means embracing all. The Church has very catholic tastes. It is easy going unlike any atheist regimes we have seen. It understands human frailty.

Your arguments don't lay a glove on it.

You just keep making the **** up. Ninety-five percent of statistics are made up on the spot. Have you ever heard of land grant universities? Every state has them, and many of those systems are extensive. Illinois, New York, California, Pennsylvania and several other states have quite a few universities in their systems.

I like to look at it as societal mores evolving, and the church just rides on the back of it as if they were the first to promote progressive morality.

By the way being mean to people and spiting in people's faces is ignorant in my opinion so please do not accuse me of doing that and if it appears that I have I am sorry because it surely is not what I promote.
