@farmerman,
Never mind that fm. What's your answer to the question I asked you? It's easy enough. How can you be undecided? That's Frank's bag.

You are allowing yourself the luxury of pretending to be distracted by what is, in comparison, a triviality. And it's off topic.

@spendius,
And what you said about FS's photograph is not characteristic of a humble man.

The three ghostly figures in pale blue at about 10 o'clock look to be shouting warnings down to the guy being looked at in that way.

What, what, what, what ghosts? Where did I miss that comment......Smile

@Chights47,
Craig you have expressed your viewpoint very clearly and maybe someone can learn something from it but it does seem that many in this lot could care less. Not everyone has an interest in knowing what you or many of the other great minds have to say. It takes so much time to express yourself like you did and I find it easier to just share a video. I often share some that are for study purpose and other times I share some that I think are very intellectual.

Not that I am an expert nor do I know if you have a strong interest in psychology, sociology or anthropology but if you did you would find that you have a very good setting to study people here. I think that it may clear your mind if you try to view our problems in psychological, sociological and anthropological terms.

@reasoning logic,
I did learn something, I learnt that Chights takes himself way too seriously, and has got his head stuck up his own arse. There may not be enough room for your tongue.

So are we suppose to accept this idiotic and, frankly, dangerous belief and let it go on unchecked when it really only has these kind of results? It's basically a crackpot way of saying "walk it off" but the problem with that is that a lot of illnesses/injuries you can't just walk off without some sort of medical or medicinal aid.

Firstly, I was making a point regarding, how people "choose" to live and by what beliefs... But, your reply wasn't based on what I wrote, rather your in-depth anger towards people who choose faith over medicine.. Like I said, I "get it". I wish that they would "try" perhaps first and then subject to the obvious that like it or not, man has advanced dramatically with saving lives... But we can't change it.. They choose that the baby was not meant to live, it was born with issues, problems and it's in God's hands... Again, we CAN'T change their thought pattern.

Look at John Travolta. Because he is an Actor, he has the right to not disclose the entire situation that occurred with Jet, his son... Only that he "supposidly" hit his head and he had a seizure and John regardless of how hard he tried, could not save him, from death... But, being a Scientologist, children with Autism are not allowed to be given any medication... And, so, his son maybe could have been prevented from having that seizure... But, people have well forgotten now... And, John went onto have another son, after all those years, that was their solution... Get pregnant... Replace... If you want to know what I think stinks, it's that.. The little boy will never replace Jet...

Your anger over people that refuse to accept medicine and the crusade that you are on, is only going to make your life, hell. As, you constantly get mad about each story you read... I choose not to read them. I can't change those people's thoughts there is nothing I can do, nor you.. You I think believe that you can.. If you tell it to the World enough.. I think it manifests inside of you instead.

Quote:
You aren't a god but we can judge them...easily in fact. Their actions lead to the death of their child
. But, you know, reading what you linked they also had a problem with "emotions" ..Remember, the laws have to be there, I understand that, and people have to suffer the consequences I get that too... But, the law is man made and people will rebel if they believe strong enough... And, people that have to judge them, may be lienient as they "understand".. Do you have compassion? There are always two sides. As such you have to see both, you can't judge one way because that's logically the only way you think.

Quote:
it's called modern medicine and faith healing should be a banned
I have an answer too. Hundreds of years ago there was not modern medicine. You are saying that people "have" to live in todays world, they are not allowed to digress to the past and prefer that way of living... There was no modern medicine when Jesus was alive... After all that is what this thread is about, Christianity.. Or forget Jesus, just go back 2000 years and earlier.

don't include the miracles that happened in the bible however as there's not really any proof of them. There are people that have tested that some of them a theoretically possible (such as the parting of the red sea) but their not really any indication that it happened in the manner that was claimed in the bible. The main reason that I don't see miracles is because of all of the previous things that were once considered a miracle that now have prefectly logical explainations. Based on the way that things have progressed over the thousands of years we've been here and have recorded our history, it seems fairly certain that we will find an answer for all that puzzles us today, but who knows what will puzzle us in the future.
Because you don't believe any of that existed. Whilst I believe so much of it was changed, by Man. I wonder what really happened and was said. But, you can not surely think "none of it did" that would be impossible... The main reason why you don't see miracles is because you don't want to believe that they even exist. Just like you have forgotten that modern medicine did not exist either.. Science can explain a lot but not everything.. Modern medicine can cure alot but not everything..

And, people have choices... That's just a fact.

@FOUND SOUL,
I haven't responded much in this thread, as it happens, but i resent your question. Loony crap can be entertaining, but even if it were not, i have a right to read what's posted here. Who the hell are you to try to tell me what i should or should not? You're like a lot of the religious fanatics here--you want to suggest that people have no right in a thread unless they share your world view. Yours is the attitude of a bully.

What about the biological rl? And the economic.

And how do you define the psychological, sociological and anthropological terms to which you refer.

Would you, for example, view the photograph FS graced the thread with psychologically, sociologically, anthropologically or biologically and economically.

Has your suggestion to Chights any meaning and, if it hasn't, which I think it hasn't, what is the psychological, sociological and anthropological explanation of you offering it?

You might take your own advice before offering it to others.

@Setanta,
Set... You make me smile.

See here is the thing if you read the whole thread, I gave Spades the hardest time..

I am not a religious fanatic... Rather I have seen things that I can't explain and am trying to find those answers here, why shouldn't I ? Ahhh you get mad over every comment as if it is personal.. Not at all. I just merely asked then why comment if you hate this ****?

So to speak.

Me a bully, bahahahah... Like I said, I am questioning and asking, not sharing my world view... I not be preaching.

You have a right to be ANYWHERE .....

@FOUND SOUL,
Yeah, you're a bully, and i'm reacting with disgust, not anger. You claim that i "hate this ****." Where did you come up with that? You're casting my comments in a disparaging light, and then criticizing me for things i have not said.

I certainly do have the right to read any thread here, without your approval. I consider you a religious fanatic precisely because of that feeble dodge of yours that you are just looking for answers. Your comments all too often demonstrate that you assume that there is a god. I don't have a problem with such a belief--i do have a problem with being sneered at by a dishonest theist such as you for things i have not said or done.
