@izzythepush,
Hmm, I just looked them up. http://www.cvni.org/wildflowernursery/wildflowers/bluebell

The bluebells I'm used to are ornamental groundcovers in california, under the name Campanula, many varieties.

that's Campanula porsharskyana

This is Campanula persicifolia.
my Sunset book has two pages of varieties..

Oh, and I like all the egrets (I think) at the neighbor's beyond Gilbert's.

@jcboy,
Check out campanulas at your local good nurseries, especially those that pay attention to perennials.. I bet they grow there.

edit, gurgles, not Home Deposit.

@ossobuco,
They are very beautiful Os, and they seem to be enjoying the bright sunshine. Our bluebells prefer living in the shade. When I was a kid we used to go to the woods and pick big bunches, we're not allowed to anymore. We used to have assemblies at school telling us how to pick them, pinch them, don't pull them. Below is how they're usually seen.

I've never had a green thumb, couldn't keep a house plant alive, Morgan sure does, he's got the touch and does a beautiful job at gardening.

@MMarciano,
You might have the wrong houseplant, some are only meant to last about 6 months.

I did my Saturday morning chores on Sunday afternoon. Got the big loppers out and chopped back some weed trees that were trying to make inroads.

I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay

I've learned to do the least landscaping as possible, less to take care of that way Wink

@ehBeth,
Yeh, I have some serious yardwork lined up for myself. Good news is that it's beautiful here and I really want to get out there and work.

@ossobuco,
Yesterday I picked up a few more plants for the other side of the house and finished it today. Still have another side yard to work on.

@jcboy,
It looks very nice. I gather you have no water shortage in Florida - unlike us here in California. We're thinking in more desert plants now and artifical grass...

@CalamityJane,
Here in Florida we do have our dry seasons and during that time you can only water on Sundays, if they catch you on another day you can be fined.
I’ve been to Morgan’s house several times, he’s got two wells on the property so he can water any day of the week the water thief Smile

@EqualityFLSTPete,
Thanks for the info, Anthony! He's quite lucky then and can (and does) lavishly landscape the grounds.

@CalamityJane,
Yep we have a couple of wells. Had to get permits before having the wells dug and pumps installed but they sure come in handy. I just finished watering.

@jcboy,
Watch out for the large trees near your house... The roots will create havoc in the plumbing system pipes to the house.. We just bought a new house with stunning gardens (mumbles doesn't know how to up-load photos) and within a week, he be getting down and dirty in the pipes:)

Osso, I had a plant like that, the large version of the purple flowers it was a creeper though and so beautiful.

JC, I love the thought pattern of colours in your gardens Smile

Oh Sat, pulled friggen weeds (sour sobs) not sure if they are only in Aussie land but they drive me nuts........................

@FOUND SOUL,
Antonio and I got up early, had breakfast and headed to Home Depot. Picked up a few more plants, some mulch and stepping-stones. We’re planting today!
