Today I’m doing yard work. I drove the truck to HomoDepot and picked up a few plants for the side yard. One of my foxtail palms died, not sure what happened to it, just kind of rotted in the middle. So I got another one and a few small plants.

A little yard work today then shopping later. A friend of mine gave me this plant. He didn’t know what kind of plant it was. I haven’t seen it before but I thought it was pretty neat to plant on the side of the house, wish I could identify it.

Farmer's market, outside watering, dust (get rid of it rather than continue to look at it).

@jcboy,
Alas, I don't recognize it. Will nose around on the internet - but later.

Well, it's 11:52 here. That gives me eight minutes to make some pizza dough before my morning is over. Not going to happen that soon.

@JPB,
I went to a farmers market in Glastonbury today. It was very disappointing, fortunately the rest of Glastonbury wasn't.

Morgan said it’s my turn to cut the grass. That’s it; we’re getting a gardener!!

@izzythepush,
Lovely! Sorry you were disapointed with your market outing. More dusting today for me. Where does it all come from?

@MMarciano,
Ha! I don't mow lawns. That's Mr B's territory.

@JPB,
His truck breaking down is a blessing in disguise, he can’t bring home another load of plants from HomeDepot!

@MMarciano,
We already have a garner and he’s Puerto Rican !

I love the smell of fresh cut grass. Even Antonio’s little back yard is mowed. He has his own yard separate from the dogs.

Today we have been doing housework, not one of my favorite things to do on Saturday but it has to be done. I had to transplant this fern in the yard, as it was getting a little too big for the deck. I’m running out of room in the yard, it’s a jungle out there!

@ossobuco,
I forgot what it's called but you're right some kind of palm. It was growing too big for the deck. I have to be careful what I plant here in Florida.

@jcboy,
Sago? They're fast growing in that climate.

@Irishk,
I was thinking that but didn't look up a photo to double check my memory. Plus there are many feather palms out there. Still, it's likely it, since Sago is so popular.

@Irishk,
Yep that's it! It sure didn't take long before it out-grew the pot. I planted it outside the yard on the side of the garage, it can get huge there and there is plenty of room.

You can't get rid of it. Either it or its close friends will soon be back. They love the spotlight, JPB.

I wait until it gets deep enough to plant tomatoes. Smile
