@jespah,
Ya know, Jes, I used to man (ha) the hematology desk at a rather boring lab in B. Hills during a short escape from academia. Personally, I think red cells only engage in rouleaux, which is way more than a duo.

Rouleaux itself is not funny, but as a concept here, it works.

So . . . the giant mammalian RBCs in Martian meteorites is the tip-off . . . obviously, you don't keep up with the scientific literature . . .

(deb, ther's a backstory to this thread--look up Bewildred's threads--He's convinced mammals lived on Mars four billion years ago, before some god spirited them to earth and then far off to some ideal spot in the univers, and meteorites for some reason have billion year old Martian mammal red blood cells in them, as evidence of his theories).

@Setanta,
Are you SURE it was Giant Martian mammals?.

There is now strong scientific evidence that the Earth is hollow and its inside is possibly populated by a race of superbeings, humans or aliens, and possibly dinosaurs.
So Mr S maybe the aliens are closer than you think.
The entrances to this underworld are believed to be at the poles and I believe that your dog was not eaten but taken into the Earth. So if you want him back, you're going to have to launch an expedition to this underworld, the entrance is at the North Pole, near Santa's house. I'm sure you would find many volunteers for your expedition at A2K, VERY sure.
I wish you luck on your endeavour.

@Ben Smith,
OUR resident expert, dude named bewikldered , would argue your conclusions as being based upon no real evidence. Bewildered is very strongly connected to evidence and fact and apparently you dont seem to have the same reverence for scientific evidence. However, once , while working in the ohosphate fields in Florida, my car did slip into a large void that opened up to what appeared to be an area inhabited by Morlocks

This one opened up last week in Guatemala. It was about 300 feet deep and it bottomed out onto a SUBWAY sammich shop. (I believe the Morlocks made that name up to signify where the Sandwich chain started.

@farmerman,
Some angels took me to lunch there once, in a dream. The meatball sub was great, although, I don't remember it.
