I've had a bit of a spat with a certain evangelical poster. He has accused me of posting porn on his thread. My response was to laugh. Seriously do any of you feel any stirrings when you see this cartoon?

You're supposed to be a bit grossed out, most of his stories involve his gonads being injured in some way. He's a very popular comic book character over here. Someboby even wrote a song about him.

You didn't have to read it. Viz has a huge circulation, so I'm not alone in being a fan of Buster. Why don't you post something you find funny, and let the rest of us be the judge of that? Is it just that you're disappointed not to find some risque pictures?

is viz still being published, i'm in Canada and used to get it all the time from a couple of shops but nobody has had it for about a year (of course i was probably the only customer)

It's bigger than ever, it's one of the few things I read that makes me laugh out loud. You can subscribe if you want, they send it out all over the world. Zit folded, but it was a rubbish knock off without the intellectualism that made Viz stand out. Highbrow intellectualism with schoolboy lavatory humour is a winning combination. Google Viz you should find the home page easy enough.

Don't forget that America is puritan and as such they abhor anything that even remotely could possibly be classified as porn. Porn is evil, is the devil.

That the biggest porn industry is actually in the United States, escapes their selective memory completely.

i believe Punch is gone, but is Private Eye still around, i read both regularly in the 80's (Private Eye into the early 90's, then it seemed to disappear)

Punch has gone, Private Eye is still going. I don't think it's as good as it used to be though, and Ian Hislop's been getting on my tits recently.
