When I see C.I. posting rude on A2K I always think about the terrible things he endured during the II WW.
I've seen some awful posts directed at him, his culture and his family.
I always give his thin-skinned diatribes a pass. It's part of knowing some background and adjusting for it.

We are all thin skinned about something.

In the majority of cases in which people have apparently guessed, rather than asking, they have guessed female.

Izzy, I feel quite safe in saying if Dys where here, and read that post, he would call you a wing-nut.

Which of course was right next to being called a poopity head.

panzade, I really appreciate your tolerance of my rude postings, but I really don't deserve it from that perspective. When I was a kid growing up in Sacramento, I wore eyeglasses, and many of the kids used to pick on me. I learned early on that if I fought back, they left me alone. My older brother's report card used to have the gold stars on his, but mine said "ci fights too much!" Since then, I've never backed down from insults or threats, and I probably over-react from habit.

My wife gave me a t-shirt many years ago that says "PATIENCE." I'm trying.

I always like having CI around. He has been there since the days of Abuzz.

From whatever perspective you choose, my gut feeling has always been that you've gone through a lot. A lot more than I could imagine.

After I have shared so much of my life on Abuzz and a2k, I continue to "knock on wood" that I was born and raised in this country called the United States of America that provided us with so much opportunity. As I've said many times before, our family is now made up of many cultures and races; a gargantuan change from when we were kids. We didn't even socialize with the Chinese or Caucasians, but today many are in our family. What more can I ask for?

Our's has been a great generation, and I'm happy I was a part of it.

He will always be held in a place in my heart as one of the sincere special individuals here who unconditionally played a large part in shaping my world to a better place. He'll never be forgotten.

Of course, I never liked him mahousively.

What is so interesting about you CI is your world outlook and your hunger to absorb and soak up the cultures of the places you visit.

I can only speak for myself but I do not get insulting until they start it . Then they usually show themselves to be cowards at their own game .

People behave differently in cars . They don't see the other person . They behave differently on the phone . They don't see the other person . They behave differently on the internet . They don't see the other person . All the visual cues that we used since the dawn of sight are not there .

Some people get angry at inanimate objects .

I thought she was Australian as it fitted the anti-Vietnam war era but she has dropped clues that only a person very knowledgable about or used to the USA lingo would make . So now I have doubt . I dont get how she can hate 300 million people with such venom .
