Thank you, all my good friends who posted. I haven''t checked in for several weeks and was pleasantly surprised to see all the kind posts.

Love to all.

I dreamed last night that Bob came to say goodbye (I was leaving a place in the middle of a hectic dream, and we wouldn't see each other again)
His spirit is alive.

@fbaezer,
I'm so glad Bob came to see you in your dream to say goodbye.

Our house is full of his spirit and I talk to him everyday and feel his closeness so often that I have grown to expect it.

Bob is a constant presence in the lives of many, I feel certain. He is always not far from my central thought.

@edgarblythe,
Yes, the same for me, edgar.
I really miss talking with him, the PM talks, though ...
He's very sadly missed.

Edgar and Ms Olga, Bob was such a fixture and had so many a2k friends, that I doubt he will ever be forgotten.

@Diane,
Yes. And so much more than that, Diane.
Absolutely unforgettable. Smile

How are you going?
(Only if you want to comment, of course.)
I often think of you, too.

@msolga,
MsOlga, I have been doing better during the last few months. The pain of lonliness and grief is not a constant companion as it once was.

As hapens so often, time lessens the closness of hurt, bringing the real world back to life.

I am glad to see this and know you are making the slow return back into what is usually called a 'normal' life (though I have no idea what a normal life is supposed to be since I haven't had a textbook style one, ever).

Mostly I'm just happy that the sadness is easing and with spring around the corner you'll be better able to handle the sounds as the birds begin their squeaking.

@Rockhead,
Last time I talked to Fred, he bit me on the finger.

@Rockhead,
odd.

i had a thought of fred yesterday too.
Reason being.... i saw a sun conure in a flea market a few weeks ago and that image stuck in my head. Mostly because no one in that market would have had the faintest idea of HOW to take care of those birds first off . Second.. the minute that bird opened its mouth, they would let him go.

Then i think of fred, staring at me.. daring my finger to come close... then hearing jillian squeal from BEING bit by Fred.. hehe..

@Diane,
Forgotten? not an option

I think many of us have some message from Bob that we're saving - whether it's a PM, or a FB poke, or an email ...

at first they were startling to come across, now they invoke happy memories and smiles
