@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Most true. I learned a lot from Bob.

@edgarblythe,
Bob would periodically do a thread to check if his list of poopityheads was up to date. I was his favorite wimp and I was proud of that.

@wandeljw,
If Bob did not like you, you were in solid.

@dlowan,
Deb said, "I think you threw caution to the wind the day you met!"

So true Deb, and it was at the bridge that it happened and it was there that Bob and I knew that, no matter what happened, our lives would never be the same. Turns out that our lives beccame better than we could ever believe.

@Diane,
Oh, so that's the significance of the bridge! I had no idea.

@Diane,
Well...what a lovely place to meet!

I wish you'd had many years before you had to say goodbye.

@Thomas,
The Gorge Bridge has been of particular importance for Bob.

@CalamityJane,
CJ, Bob and I were friends. I know he liked me. I liked him back. The issue wasn't just his calling me a poopity head. I referred to myself as such in one thread, and he came back with a, "No, you're not a poopity head." Outright denial.

I don't know what his criteria were for poopity-headedness. Obviously I didn't fill the bill.

Sigh.

Missing that skinny cowboy. I talked to him about things that I didn't talk to anybody else about.

"Missing that skinny cowboy. I talked to him about things that I didn't talk to anybody else about. "...

indubitably.

I was a "shithead". he never bothered with poopity to me...

@Roberta,
I wasn't a poopity head either. I never really knew if that was a good thing or a bad thing. But I knew Bob was fond of me, and vice versa.

@Eva,
Eva, Am I detecting a trend? Some of us were not poopity heads. CJ, you, and me, so far.

Verrrry interesting.

@Roberta,
I was a poopity head once. Alas I forget the exact occasion. I think I had begun to wonder that I didn't qualify.

I'm from the era of "shithead" being used in various ways .. I remember it as 1971 and beyond.

Tone, it's about tone.
But Bob had tone.

I am not sure what Bob's criteria was. I think it had to do with him catching you making a truly idiotic remark. He caught me more than once. Apparently Eva, Roberta and CJane managed to escape his notice.

@wandeljw,
Bob's criteria shall remain a mystery.

He loved you all, so that didn't have anything to do with it.

I, too, love you all.

@Diane,
Thanks, Diane. Bob indeed loved everyone of us. I had a lot of fun with him about me being a wimp.

Echoing Edgar again.

@Diane,
What a wonderful requiem. I don't find it the slightest bit insegrevious.

Diane, Sue and I will be out sometime next year for a visit. And our first trip to Taos.

Thanks for the pictures, Thomas. I saw the one on your FB profile of Sally's happy little face, and felt I still needed to stay away from this thread for a few more days in order to be properly composed to read it. Turns out I shouldn't have worried about a thing.

A lot of love coming through my monitor right now.

@ossobuco,
Yes, he had tone--I like that--and together he and Diane had vibrato. Love.
