I may be the first one back from our day in Taos. Well, I know I am of those who post on a2k, but some folk staying the night in Santa Fe may have laptops with them - somehow I figure they are all still talking, not even thinking of typing.

Roger and I drove back to Albuquerque, and he's just at the start of his last four hours of driving after a long day already. A couple, albuquerque friends dear to Bob, are probably also back by now.

It went beautifully all at once. Each there mourned or celebrated Bob in our own way but we were a good brigade of the many who love him.

There are related stories, most of those at least partly funny, but some very sweet, tangential to the bridge gathering, but I'd rather wait for Diane to post, or others to start.

@ossobuco,
Thank you for reporting back to us so soon, osso, I was wondering all day long how it went. I am glad everyone had a good time and it's exactly what Bob wanted everyone to have. I am also glad that his ashes are out over the Rio Grande now and all of us who couldn't make it today, can go whenever time permits and visit Bob.

@CalamityJane,
I guess I could list participants, eh?

First, Diane, and Eva, and Thomas driving from Albuquerque in one car, Thomas the driver.

Bob's cousin Connie and her husband Hector, whom I'd never met but had long heard about. I liked both of them individually a lot, but what does that matter , just a reaction, but comfort. Oh, and their dog, Brandy.

Roger and me. That sounds like an old movie title that I can't remember. There were aspects to the drive that we are trying to forget already but will be a reservoir for humor in time.

Michael and Beva. They brought the Porsche. That's one of the stories.

@shewolfnm,
But we know you are here.
You too could have added to the disaster mode and felt well when it all worked despite the batch of us.

(I need to be quiet, but clearly I am sort of exilarated. Time to quiet down.)

@ehBeth,
Mini caravan my bare patoot! More like a demolition derby from Santa Fe north. After the little ceremony, which wasn't at all depressing, Thomas had someone take a group picture. Since we were all off the bridge, it was too late to accidently knock the camera into the gorge. Maybe it turned out overexposed or something, so he can't post it.

@roger,
Thomas was the only one of us with a camera that worked in that place, re his phone... we asked.

I did take photos, a couple, but I hadn't used the camera in a couple of years and doubtful in any extent.

I'm smart enough with non digital cameras. I'm a fool on all the new.
