@mysteryman,
Partisan and obstructionism policies of the republican party
"In the 110th Congress of 2007-2008, with Republicans in the minority, there were a record 112 cloture votes. In the current session of Congress – the 111th – for all of 2009 and the first two months of 2010 the number already exceeds 40. The most the filibuster has been used when Democrats were in the minority was 58 times in the 106th Congress of 1999-2000."
These filibusters include blocking the normalization of taxes and subsidies for the rich while they rake in record profits, jobs bills for infrastructure, equal pay for women and not the attack on the foods stamp program that feeds children in poverty... remember Romney's words.. "I am not worried about the safety net for the poor." That safety net now being carried mostly by middle class tax payers.

Anyone who can go along with these types of attacks on our government by the wealthy has no integrity whatsoever.
"Filibusters to make the Obama administration and Democrats in Congress look inept are one thing. Quite another is a vote against creating jobs in an economy with nearly 10 percent unemployment..."
The next time you hear a conservative say, "Go get a job!" We can thank them for making sure there were no jobs to be had. Oh yes, and the republican filibuster to block minimum wage increases.
We will be seeing some trickle down economics next election when the republicans pee their pants as they are voted into oblivion, by the poor, minorities, women, the LGBT community, atheists, agnostics and scientists and those sensible enough to stop the attack of religion on our constitution.
...not to forget to mention the debt ceiling debacle also.
