@Baldimo,
It shows a pattern in the IRS of what? Enforcing the law?

There is a law concerning gift taxes. There is no exemption in the law for gifts to 501(c) groups. The IRS was looking at enforcing the law. Congress raised questions so the IRS said they won't enforce it until they make a published ruling.

That still doesn't explain WHY you think Lerner would have deleted emails because of this letter. I would love to hear your explanation of why the June 3 letter caused her to delete emails.

Quote:
Coupled with the new emails showing concern for Congressional investigations and making sure that emails and chats were not saved does not bode well for Lerner.
But your standard is we should just ignore it for the Bush WH? That seems to be rather biased, don't you think?

@parados,
Not biased at all. Bush isn't in office and Obama and his admin are. What good does it do to be bothered by something that happened in the Bush years that has no bearing on the current situation. You are only using Bush as a diversion to deflect from what Lerner and the IRS has done.

This was the beginning of Congress looking into actions taken by the IRS. They knew more were to follow so they had to take action and cover up what they had been up to. The recent email that was found, which wasn't included in the thousands of emails turned over earlier, shows that Lerner was concerned with Congress investigating the IRS. She made sure the chats and emails were not being saved and stressed to her people to be careful what they say in emails. She was fearful of an investigation because she knew what they were doing was illegal. Could this also apply to what Bush did over 6 years ago? Sure but once again Bush isn't in office.

@Baldimo,
You don't have any idea that a (world) Great Recession can impact years after it happens.

Figures. Try to convince all the countries of this world that was affected by the Great Recession and are still struggling to survive that it didn't hurt anybody, and it shouldn't take this long.

Leave it to a paid liar not to say the difference between paying taxes or being threatened with an audit, and a payment demand because you have donated to the wrong group, is not coercion.

Those countries, and this administration, think it is Americas fault, like everything else. Get your head in the game.

Judicial Watch Statement on Federal Court Ruling on Missing IRS Emails

Quote:
In a victory for public accountability, Judge Emmett Sullivan ordered that the IRS must submit to the court a written declaration under oath in the next 30 days about what happened to Lois Lerner’s “lost” emails and any other computer records reportedly lost by the IRS. Judge Sullivan appointed Magistrate Judge John M. Facciola to manage and assist in discussions between Judicial Watch and the IRS about how to obtain any missing records from sources. Magistrate Facciola is an expert in e-discovery.

Judge Sullivan also authorized Judicial Watch to submit a request for limited discovery into the missing IRS records after September 10.

These extraordinary court rulings are key steps in unraveling the Obama IRS’s ongoing cover up of its abuses against critics of this administration.

@Baldimo,
It shows your partisan worry Baldimo. You only show concern when one side does it.

Obama and his administration have not been shown to direct anything the IRS did. The law clearly is on the IRS side in what they did. What was illegal that she did? The law says 501(c)4 groups are not supposed to conduct political activity. It is not illegal for the IRS to determine that those groups are complying with the law before they grant status. I expect the IRS to do that.

@parados,
I show concern for the current party in power. Bush isn't currently in power, what good does my concern show now? Can we do anything to change what Bush did? No we can't, so why should I be upset or be concerned about it now. You are now deflecting.

To be honest we still don't know if Obama or anyone directly connected to the White House directed anything. We don't have all the emails yet do we?

Now you are going to play this "what did she do wrong game"? I'll say this, if she did nothing wrong why did she plead the 5th, twice? Why are there so many emails missing from at least 5 different people who would all be involved with said targeting? Why has the IRS not followed the law in regards to important documents and backup procedures? Why was Lerner so concerned with the saving and backups of emails and chat sessions if the IRS and her group were doing nothing wrong?

I guess we will get some answers to some of these questions in the near future. I federal judge has ordered an appearance from someone in the IRS to answer some questions about the "missing" emails and why?

Why are you not upset about the missing emails? According to your statement before, this also makes you a partisan worrier. When the GOP does it, it bothers you. When your party does it, "meh", Bush did it first.

I think conservative donors and groups were intimidated and sworn testimony proves that. Now what isn't factual?

You are saying all those people lied, like the IRS has? Try again Shill
