Seeing that all politics is local, the 'know nothing' party will remain in power as long as they control the congress and the states.
The solution then is populism. Right now the 'know nothings' are the populists. and all the popular slogans--smaller government--- ObamaCare---second amendment---build a fence---English only----Welfare for Drug Tests--Femnazis--Bengazi---Frack Frack Frack---Under Gawd and strangely enough stop they're upset about NSA data mining but believe Snowden should burn.
The real problem with this populism is with these slogans--the almost universally fail when held under examination.
The 'know nothing' populism is built of cards and its a long way until 2016--they may gain some control this November, but a good wind will expose that populism lacks foundation and the 'know nothings' will be reduced to 'haters'.
Fortunately the 'haters' are a small minority and the model for what happens when 'haters' gains control still burns bright in our genetic memory---Never Again.

@Region Philbis,
Minimum wage was never designed as a permanent living wage.
It is an entry level wage, with most of the people earning it being new to the workforce.
has anyone here noted that analysis's currently believe that the R's have a good chance of owning both houses of Congress after the next election, and that Obamacare is the main reason?
As of now The D's have zero chance of getting the R's to play ball, they dont think they need to.

Except you promoted him as being more qualified than others. Why say he is more qualified if no one is qualified? Doesn't that imply that some are qualified if some are more qualified than others?
@coldjoint,
Jailing's too good for them, their "brains" should be donated to medical science so we can see what makes them so stupid.

Here you go Parados. We will jail people who disagree with climate change.
What a strange world you live in where college professors run jails. (I suppose you grew up thinking teachers were jailers because they made you learn things.)
Meanwhile in the world I live in GOP politicians call for hanging the President because they disagree with him.

I think it points to some GOP politicians being stupid but I don't think it means we will hang Presidents any time soon.

You want this in the MSM?
Quote:“These organizations cannot be used as a means to conceal the identity of the true contributors,” Johnson said in a release. “This agreement reflects our commitment to transparency and accountability in the campaign finance process, especially in an election year.”
I guess that means all those conservative 501(c) groups that are hiding their donors are breaking the law. Why aren't you reporting on that Pink Prevaricator?
