There's the annual Easter Parade here in the Big Apple. I will not be attending. It's not a real parade. It's people walking around wearing hats. Regular hats and kinda extreme hats.

I'll sleep through the whole thing.

@Roberta,
So you're not a hat person, Roberta? Smile

I confess, I couldn't get too excited by a hat parade either.

Friday...rested from Outback.

Saturday...bit of house stuff... dinner with friends. One of them from Queensland, with many funny stories to tell about prince william's trip to Ipswich!

Today...lunch with friend...am now ill with either URTI, or sinus infection with sore throat. Have stocked up on alleged immune system boosters, pain killers and things to squirt up my nose...mainly salt water.

Tomorrow...resting and doing stuff like unpacking and the washing etc.

Tuesday...if well enough off to a teapot exhibition at Greenhill Gallery:

(I love teapots)

Then WORK.

@dlowan,
I love teapots, too, Deb! Smile

Sounds like a very pleasant way to have spent Easter. Rest & friends & food.

I hope that cold (or whatever it turns out to be) is not the same variety that is doing the round in these parts. Not at all nice when it moves on down to the chest! I speak from experience. <cough, honk>

I do hope you're well enough to go to the exhibition!

@msolga,
We've been to Dresden last week with some (A2K-)friends, and saw in Meissen in the factory shop this teapot ... a special offer, for only 45,000 Euros ...

@Walter Hinteler,
How much would that go for on a show like Antiques Roadshow?

@Walter Hinteler,
Now that is a pretty amazing teapot, Walter!
Is that real gold?
Quote:
45,000 Euros

I'll have to find one of those online currency conversion tables to work out roughly how much that costs.

45000 euros = $1.4548 * 45000 = $65466

Walter, I have long felt guilty
about the firestorms that we caused over Dresden,
to please Stalin in 1945. I do not see that thay were justified.

Will u tell us whether the damage has been successfully repaired ?

@JGoldman10,
the inside of the spout looks like it's ceramic, i'm guessing it's gold leaf with possible solid gold adornments (the leaves and handle)
