Do you think those that built the pyramids were paid employes? They used to kill the slaves that entombed the Pharaohs do you think they volunteered or were they slave labor?
Freedom can be lost all at once like when Germany overran Poland during WWII but usually it is a slow process where one group uses the power government to take the freedom of minority away. A good example was how blacks were deprived of their rights to even drink from the same water fountain that whites did and the government enforced those laws. There will always be groups that are able to gain the power of government to advantage their group. We must be forever vigilant; freedom must be carefully maintained. When freedoms are taking from a minority it is easy to say it does not affect me why should I worry. First, they posted the ten commandments in school, next bibles became mandatory, then they began teaching bible stories in some public schools, and it won't stop there. The ten commandments are one of the biggest religious icons of Christianity. If bibles are to be in school than so should 100s of other religious books so students can make an informed choice including satanism. Teaching bible stories is a direct and unvarnished teaching of Christianity in public schools.
In one court case the judge stated that if you had a Christian club in school than you could also have a club based on Satanism. It seems that Christianity newfound power could be double edged sword. Many teenagers who love horror movies would be attracted to Satanism. I wonder how many Christian parents would like their teenagers to be taught of the powers of Satin in a public school?
