Happy New Year to all you great people. I hope you have some small idea how much your support means to both of us.
It's off to bed for me. I think I'll be able to sleep tonight, knowing that he is doing so much better. The weakness is still a major source of worry, but one of the doctors said that it takes lots of time for that to go away. He is staying until Friday for the last test--not sure why the delay, but as long as he's doing well, there will be no complaints from me. You all are so wonderful--it is just amazing.
Kisses Diane, and prayers too!
Diane, it sounds like you are the best medicine he could ever have.
We'll all talk in the morning, in 2004.

Happy belated b'day, dys, and full recovery wishes to you, buddy. Diane, best wishes.
sending love and prayers to both of you.... Dys, when you get back to the computer and read these messages, you will know how much you are loved.... Thank goodness that you have Diane with you.... hoping that both of you will recover in time....

Just saw osso's other thread, which linked to this.
Sincerely hope this wretched nightmare has passed utterly. Am horrified for what dys and Diane have endured. I shall spit when I think of it.
If it helps, dys--when you read this--I quit smoking. Last week. It really sucks, but my lungs feel clear already. Be well.
Good to you, Sofia, though you don't need my commendation, still, I am extremely glad.
Big waves of love to dys......... and, sofia, to you too.
way to go, Sofia!!
it's been many many years since I quit, but it took a week-long heavy doses of pain pills (I had a bad kidney infection).... the pain pills made me woozy, so I didn't smoke.... when I was healthy again, I noticed that I'd quit smoking.... and that was the end of it.... and I'm sooooo glad I quit!!
Happy New Year, Dys....

Diane querida, I'm glad you're getting some rest. And don't forget to feed Fred before you head out to the hospital.
Please tell dys to get his bony ass out of the hospital and home where it belongs.
I'm thinking about the two of you. Hoping for good things.
Diane- I am so glad that everything is under control. It is a good idea that the hospital is keeping him for a couple of days. In that way, they will be able to rule out everything, and come up with a good rehab plan.
Oh, and tell that man of yours to stop the nonsense, and come back to us............quick. WE NEED HIM!!!!
So good to hear things are getting better. Big hugs and good vibes from Brighton.
Can't tell you how sorry I am to hear about Dys.
I normally skip the "Happy Birthday" threads -- but when I saw the alert thread that Dys was sick, I came over.
Tell that guy we are all pulling for him -- and that we want and need his input -- so he's gotta get well FAST!
Friday is tomorrow! Good news. Diane you sound so strong and coherent! You're amazing.
Do all of you realize how much your good wishes mean? As much to me as to Bob, which is tremendous!!
I don't have time to respond personally, so please know that each of you has touched our hearts and helped both of us feel much more optimistic than we would have without all the friendship that is flowing our way. Love to you all.
Couldn't get through this morning, but mornings are the busiest times. However, I do have good news to report--Bob was moved to what is called the Progressive Care Unit last night. The room is very nice and he will be getting out of bed and exercising a little. His Doctor told him that the overwhelming sense of weakness was normal and that it would take some time for it to improve.
Now, for more good news: Bob is starting to joke in his Monty Python and Firesign Theater way. Oh, those poor nurses!! At least he is still too tired to talk very much. LOL
They are taking good care of my sweet, skinny cowboy.
Excellent news, my friend! Did you remember to pass along my hug and kiss? Tell him the kiss was cootie-free!
Love you both much.
Rae xx
Diane- That sounds so wonderful! I am so glad to hear the good news.
Dys, Diane;
just letting you know Canada has been alerted;
so there are now another 30 million people supporting your quick recovery!
Best wishes Bo
