Dian, I wish for you and Bob the Happiest of New Years and that the bond between you grows and deepens in the coming year.
The very best fro here and me ... already just half an hour in 2004: a really happy new year to both of you!
Thanks for the update, Diane. Sounded like a pretty intense evening.
Best wishes, Diane and Dys in Colorado, from us in Virginia. We, like many from around the world, will be leaving this site "on email updates." We all hope that Bob will feel like posting something soon.

Diane
Thank god you were there with him when it happened and that you will be there with him through it all. I love you both more than you know.
Hugs to you and Dys.
Im already missin his wise ass remarks
Me too. Don't we all feel so helpless, though?
I have everything crossed, Dys and Diane. I'm so glad to hear that he's doing better.
I'm back from work and glad to see the update. Wow, what a horrendo for both of you.
We all need Dys, he ain't just anybody.
Hmmm, I hope this doesn't put him off of Alaskan king crab... (we have crab harvesting going on here now, I'll save him some virtual crab from the stand at Woodley Island.)
It's midday, New Year's day here, Diane. It has been a wonderful present to know that everything's under control with Bob & that he's receiving such good treatment. That was very frightening! I hope you've managed to get a little rest, Diane. This must have been truly awful for you. Thank you for the update.
Love to you both,
Olga
My god, what have I missed. Doing double time on good vibes and well wishes and focusing them all West. I'm so glad he's going to be ok..... Diane, do take care of yourself and Dys. Big hugs to both of you.
greetings
Dear Diane, so sorry to hear of Bob's stroke. I'm grateful to Osso for alerting me. I've spent much time in ICU's with friends and a spouse, so I THINK I have an appreciation for what you are going through now. But this too shall pass. I have a number of friends who have experienced strokes, and all but one came out of it VERY WELL. But remember to tell Bob that he must be "religious" about his therapy. That seems to be the critical thing. Tell him that C.I., Farmerman, Edgar, and I will kick his butt if he goes back to smoking. You are both such magnetically attractive people. I pray in my way that you'll have many years together. And I hope to see you in Tuscon soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us an update, Diane. I'm so relieved to hear things are under control! You realize, don't you, that you saved his life? Thank God you were there.
The others are right. He must not go back to smoking. It is no longer a risk "factor" for him. My skinny cowboy of a husband had a wake up call with throat cancer about ten years ago. He, too, had been a confirmed lifetime smoker. He hasn't smoked since. He says he has too much to live for. He also likes to tell people that quitting is easy...you just have to spend the first couple of weeks on heavy duty painkillers. Funny, but true! A sense of humor works wonders, and we all know Bob can be hilarious. That will help him through this. That, and support. I trust you BOTH know we're always here for you.
Keep us updated, please?
Add me to that list, JL. No better time than now for him to quit smoking.

Welcome, LittleK; the more the better.
I quit, it wasn't so hard. But he needs to quit both types of tobaccy.
CI, this is the link for updates, this is the main thread...
