I have the best pets possible for a single man - tropical fish. Thye look good, make no noise, no smell, clean their own tank, and I only have to remember to feed them twice a week. Fantastic.

I'm always slightly wary of cats. Any animal too lazy to **** outside is no good. Dogs are fine though.

actually Duke they're breeding a dog for apartment dwellers now called a cigarette dog. It has no real legs, only stumps.

Practically maintenance free, although you do occasionally have to take it out for a drag......

My cat can't go outside anymore. But, when he was an indoor/outdoor cat, he'd still come in just to use the box.

It was always my place. I'm much more comfortable in my own home.

I would prefer my place because I know it is clean and comfortable. However, if I were in the man's place, I know I could leave anytime, whereas if he were in my place, I would have to be rude and ask him to leave.

Does that make sense?

Misti- I disagree that assuming that asking a man to leave would necessarily be rude. There are perfectly legitimate reasons that you would want a man to leave..........busy day tomorrow, you have a lot to do, etc.

If you want the man to leave because you have had some difficulties with him, maybe you would have to be rude, but so what? You probably would not want to see that person again, anyhow.

I still think that a woman has more control of the situation, when she is in HER place!

I think it IS difficult asking someone to leave.

And it was the control thing that made me ask in the first place - seems a bit ...er...controlling to always want it to be your place....but it seems it does not worry the guys!

Yeah, it doesn't take much to make a man comfortable, as a matter of fact it only takes a horizontal position and a remote in their hand!

Dunno really...I generally prefer to go to their place - I am a bit possessive abt my house, and most of the time dont like to invite people inside - it is sort of sacred space for me - my cocoon....
