Conservatives can tolerate Hillary much more than they can stomach Obama.

At least she knows what it means to be an American...

If I was an American I would be out trying to get Hilary nominated and then getting her elected.

A quick review of today's comments on many Conservative and 'tea party' websites reveals an attitude of despair, over the idea that Romney will now be a lock for the election (after Newt's disastrous performance last night). I've never seen so many calls for a third-party candidate on right-wing sites. At least half the posters are dead sure that Romney will lose to Obama.

These are the people that are convinced 90% of the country thinks just like they do.

@Cycloptichorn,
Did you see Mark Halperin's description of the turtle on the fence post this morning on Morning Joe? It's a perfect explanation as to how Mitt won last night's debate. The Republican guard came out in force yesterday against Newt and the Romney campaign packed the debate audience with Romney supporters. This isn't just Romney's climb. Others are putting the turtle on the fence post.

I try to ignore Halperin as much as possible, the man provides the shallowest analysis and regularly spouts off pure bullshit. It's astounding to me that anyone takes him seriously. He has more predictions made that failed to materialize than anyone I can think of.

He may be right in this case... but yaknow stopped clocks and all.

I am seeing more of the same writing on the wall and it looks like all conservatives
need to unite in their collective support of Romney to defeat Obama this fall...

God, you're so fickle. Just over a week ago you posted this.

Quote:
Gingrich the man to defeat Obama

I responded, ( rather brilliantly, if I say so myself.)

Quote:
So you've now given Gingrich the kiss of death like you did Herman Cain. It looks like Romney will be the candidate.

Then you replied, not so brilliantly as turns out.

Quote:
You will soon know just how wrong you are.

It took you just over a week to find out how wrong you were.

I'm still pulling for Newt, but indications are that Romney will win the GOP nomination... what ever/who ever it takes to defeat 0bama

Seeing a lot about Romney stacking the crowd at the most recent debate. Gotta love it if so. (Gingrich demands audience participation, and then the participating audience favors Mitt....)

Super-PACs aside, Gingrich has some of the same dog-who-caught-the-car stuff going on that Cain did. His organization is WAY behind Romney's, not just in terms of stuff like ad buys.

And the guy's not even on the ballot in Virginia (for example).

The polls on Florida show Mitt with a 9 point lead and the early/absentee votes favor him, I think. I am sure support for Newt from H2O and Rush has nothing to do with his slump.
I couldn't avoid peaking ahead:
2/4 Nevada (28 delegates) - a large Mormon population
2/7 Minnesota (40) - a northern state arguably similar to Michigan
2/7 Colorado (36)
2/7 Missouri (52) - Newt failed to get on the ballot
2/28 Michigan (59*) - Mitt's dad's state
2/28 Arizona (58*)
* These states may or may not lose 1/2 there delegates for scheduling their primaries too early.
