Can you provide proof that it's a false statement?

I don't mind if they do demand proof - it's an appropriate thing to do.

Ah but the burden of proof is on the one who asserts something to begin with.

The Repub debate in Las Vegas tonight will be on CNN @ 8 pm ET. All candidates except Huntsman will be there . He is boycotting supposedly due to the spat between NH and Nevada regarding the early caucus/primary schedule. He has no chance in NV.
Romney leads in NV and is likely to win there (as well as in NH). We should expect lots of Obama bashing but it seems to me that the conservatives will have to go after Romney and each other to gain traction.
Nevada has a very high foreclosure rate and unemployment rate. Immigration is a big issue.
It could be interesting if they can focus on that. And, oh yes, I note that the television ratings for prior debates have been quite good.

Welcome, Leapist.

@realjohnboy,
Predictions:

Cain will get the most attention from the other candidates and is going to have to defend 9-9-9. I was going to predict someone was going to make an awkward joke about pizzas and the electric alien fence, but I see Huntsman won't be there.

Bachmann will have a good night, Santorum will come across desperate.

Perry will shuffle along like he's sleep walking and Romney will come out looking like he's the frontrunner no matter what the polls are saying.

Hopefully Newt and Ron Paul will add laughs (one intentionally and the other not so much)

The CNN moderators will, again, be annoying.

Well, he certainly sounds decisive, doesn't he?

This is about on the level of McCain singing "Bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran" to the tune of Barbara Ann.

I've always though you could learn a lot about people by listening to what they think is funny.

@realjohnboy,
I wonder if Romney will get questioned on his heartless position on mortgages that he revealed today...

Romney today said that nothing should be done about the foreclosure situation, and we should 'let the market bottom, and investors come in, to sort the situation out.'

Needless to say, that's not going over well in many circles today.

@Cycloptichorn,
An odd thing for Romney to say ahead of the debate in NV, which has the highest home foreclosure rate in the country.
I had not seen that comment from him earlier today.

Everyone jumps on Cain for 9-9-9; Newt tries to be the reasoned intellectual.

@realjohnboy,
Perry: The solution to any economic woes is oil, gas and coal. That will create all the jobs we need.
