@snood,
If you've been following my posts, you'll know that you're dealing with an oligarchy. Clinton is one of their puppets.

@Builder,
How about Hillery pulling 60% of the popular vote to Bernies 40%. The superdelegates wont mean anything when she wins with a majority of the delegates won from the primaries where all the people can vote rather than just the ones under the age of 40 who believe Bernies bull about free this and that.

@snood,
I sometimes think the American president has more influence on the rest of the world than on America, I think it's fair for foreigners to care deeply about Anerican elections.

When the Australian people demanded of our admin that we pull our troops out of Iraq, our then PM conceded that it was the right thing to do. Then VP Cheney made a special trip to Australia to strong-arm our PM into "staying the distance".

Really made all the difference, right? Now the Muslim world hates us with equal fervor.

I've made the point repeatedly here that US foreign policy affects Australia (and the UK and literally every other US ally) more than just casually. We're blamed just as much for every bad decision your admin makes, just because of the ANZUS treaty.

So, thanks Robert, for this comment.

It's not "free anything". It's demanding that people's taxes be used to help the people, rather than being shunted into the hands of megacorporate thieves, and munitions factories for endless invasions of other nations.

Or are you one of those who believe the corporate mantra that paying wages that people can live on is socialism, while the corporate sector pays themselves ten million dollar bonuses from bailout money?

@snood,
Builder goes on about oligarchy constantly, i agree. It's as though he thinks he's revealing some secret, nefarious plot. As far as i can see, every society that has ever existed has been oligarchic.

That's just proof positive that you don't read much about the history of the nation you're living in.

See, we do have something in common.

Representatives from your indigenous tribes are regular visitors to our indigenous peoples. I've made a study of South American history, and how that affected customs in norte Americano life.

Your suggestion that all cultures are basically oligarchic is simplistic, and nonsensical, historically.

If you claim that all societies are oligarchic, then you're describing yourself rather accurately.

The larger tribes in your own nation were Matriarchies, and the surviving members still live by that.

The oldest known culture on the planet, the Australian indigenous people, were tribal entities, more connected to the land than to anything else.

Ever heard of the term "ostracise". It was a way for the Roman people (yes, that's where democracy started) to get rid of any politician that they deemed to be an arsehole. The "one" had to leave the nation, and stay away for a decade.

So, even that far back, the system had a method to get rid of the pricks.

Where is that system today?

@Builder,
Are you alleging that women can't be oligarchs? Your statement about tribes in the territory which is now the United States is completely unfounded. But even if it were true, that would not make those tribes any less oligarchic. I begin to suspect that you don't really know what oligarchy means.

You just keep digging a deeper hole. This is the first result of a web search for the etymology of ostracize:

Quote:
mid 17th century: from Greek ostrakizein, from ostrakon ‘shell or potsherd’ (on which names were written, in voting to banish unpopular citizens).

The Greeks, Einstein, not the Romans. The claim that the Romans invented democracy is even more hilarious. This is the first result of a web search for the etymology of democracy:

Quote:
late 16th century: from French démocratie, via late Latin from Greek dēmokratia, from dēmos ‘the people’ + -kratia ‘power, rule.’

You should quit now, while you're behind.

Oh, i knew that without the google search, but i know what a whiner you are, so i thought it would be useful to rub your nose in your ignorance. The claim that Rome was the birthplace of democracy is one of the most hilariously stupid claims i've ever seen from you.

Bernie wins the Oregon Primary.

Even up against the DNC, he's taken the lead.

Love your work.

The word you should be looking for is matrilineal.
