@BillRM,
He's a racist from his past statements. This is from 2012.

@Builder,
Mark also forgot to include the Don't Ask, Don't Tell, the very shameful homophobic military stance taken during the Bill Clinton administration.

Though, I'm not sure why you're posting this in a Donald Trump thread instead of the several active Hillary Clinton threads. Though I guess it's a good way to show a slight political view marginal parallel between the two candidates.

An that was the very best that the god damn GOP would allow at the time as they had threaten once more congressional actions if the president went beyond a do not ask do not tell policy.

Love the republican supporters trying to blame Clinton for the limited they placed on his freedom of actions.

@puzzledperson,
Part of the problem is that cable news outlets (and the public in general) do not understand what a "margin-of-error" is. The results in Iowa were all within the margin of error for the various polls. It wasn't unexpected at all. It's exactly what was predicted by the polling.

Trump has always said if someone challenges him, he would punch back. So I guess the Pope had it coming. Eeeek, real classy but that's what you can expect from a dressed up gutter snipe.

1997 Interview: Draft-Dodger Trump Said Sleeping Around Was My ‘Personal Vietnam’

Last edited Wed Feb 17, 2016, 11:47 AM - Edit history (2)

In a 1997 Howard Stern interview, the future presidential candidate likened sleeping with multiple women to service in the war he repeatedly avoided.

Draft-dodger Donald Trump once said that the danger he faced from getting sexually transmitted diseases was his own “personal Vietnam.”

In a 1997 interview with shock jock Howard Stern, Trump talked about how he had been “lucky” not to have contracted diseases when he was sleeping around.

“I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. It’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era,” Trump said in a video that resurfaced Tuesday on Buzzfeed, “It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”

@bobsal u1553115,
Well I have a low opinion of Trump but I wonder how many of us would look good if every comment we had made in the last 20 years is search in details.

Footnote Ben Franklin in his autobiography stated that he was very lucky not to had come down with a STD as a young man.

@BillRM,
He also wrote a fine essay on the wonders of older women that has always resonated with me. Now that I'm an older man, knowing about older women works quite well.

All these things would have gotten other candidates in a lot of trouble, at least in the court of public opinion. Especially if it was a combination of any 2 or 3 of them. But it just got the Donald more coverage, and higher poll numbers. What a country.

1. He advocates for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.
2. Said this about Mexican illegal immigrants: "They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
3. Asked about how to defeat Isis, said "I'd bomb the **** out of them".
4. During an interview when Carly Fiorina came up, said "Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?"
5. Displeased with his treatment by Megen Kelly, said “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her... wherever."
6. About widely respected war veteran, Senator John McCain: "He's not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."
7. During a recent rally, about a smiling protester, said "I'd like to punch him in the face."

@snood,
Just proves that Trump is popular with many in this country. They can vote him in as our president, and I wouldn't give a shyt, because there's nothing I can do about it. I don't worry about things I cannot control. It's useless and a waste of my time.
