Sarah Palin is a no-show at Trump campaign event in Iowa
Source: Wash. Post
NORWALK, Iowa -- Wednesday marked the first day of Donald Trump's new partnership with Sarah Palin, the colorful conservative icon who endorsed him at a rally on Tuesday night. The two planned to travel together to two campaign stops: First a small venue in the Des Moines suburbs, then a big rally in Oklahoma, according to a campaign press release. An online invitation for the first event promised the appearance of a "special guest."
Trump was alone as he took the stage at the Wright Place, a small venue in a strip of offices in Norwalk. Palin never showed up.
I think that's what makes them so interesting. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she's managed to become the gov of Alaska, vp candidate, and national notoriety. She can even see Russia from her home town. chuckle....

@ehBeth,
I admit to watching her reality show a couple of minutes, a couple of times. Till I heard her shrill voice.
But I can watch this one over and over:

@bobsal u1553115,

Things were very pleasant here while both you and Hawkeye started sitting it out a spell.
You mean no one points out what a hate-filled loser you are?
Donald Trumps paternal grandparents, photographed 1902 in Bad Dürkheim, not far away from their hometown Kallstadt.
His grandmother wanted that they stay in Germany (and in their hometown), but the grandfather had lost his Bavarian citizenship when he left for the USA earlier (1885).
Interesting in my opinion as well that the inhabitants of Kallstadt are called in the local Palatine dialect "Brulljesmacher" (show-offs).
John Henry Heinz, father of Henry John Heinz, founder of the Heinz company, was from Kallstadt as well, btw.

No.... read more carefully. He said things were pleasant. That means it was a nice cyber-place people liked coming to and hanging around for longer periods, with less endless exchanges of insults and more stimulating disagreement. It was pleasant. The time you were gone was pleasant. Does that clear it up for ya there, Bunkie?
I wonder how she would feel now? Not to pleasant for women in German cities right now, and from now on.
Hi Wally.

No, it does not. Your opinions are just like mine, and deserve the same consideration. I don't have a problem accepting that, you do.

@bobsal u1553115,
So, Palin's son is arrested and the next day she doesn't show up at a political event? You think maybe she might have been tied up with other concerns?
It's alright though. I am sure that the other story would have been "Palin shows up at political event despite her son being arrested! Talk about bad mothering! Cares more about her politics than her family."
Palin can't win with you guys so there is no use really discussing it. Just know that your bullshit stinks and is obvious.

I'll admit it. The tabloid side of the Palins just fascinates me. It shouldn't, but it does. I just don't see people like that in real life.

'It starts from the top'
Sarah Palin took the stage in Oklahoma Wednesday to stump for Donald Trump, but in the process mentioned her son’s recent domestic violence arrest.
Track Palin was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault, interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime and possessing a weapon while intoxicated. At the Trump campaign rally, Sarah Palin blamed the Obama administration’s policies towards veterans for abandoning her son. (Track spent a year deployed with the Army in Iraq.)

“I can talk personally about this, I guess it’s kind of the elephant in the room,” Palin said. “My son like so many others, they come back a bit different, they come back hardened, they come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airmen and every other member of the military so sacrificially have given to this country. And that starts from the top. It’s a shame that our military personnel even have to wonder, if they have to question, if they’re respected anymore. It starts from the top. The question though that comes from our own president where they have to look at him and wonder, do you know what we go through? Do you know what we’re trying to do to secure America and to secure the freedoms that have been bequeathed us?”
“I can certainly relate with other familes who kind of feel these ramifications of some PTSD and some of the woundedness that our soldiers do return with,” Palin continued. “And it makes me realize more than ever it is now or never for the sake of Americas finest that we have that commander in chief that will respect them and honor them.”
When any individual volunteers into the military, they go in for all the positive and negative consequences involved. If they believe they are immune to getting injured, physically or mentally, they shouldn't have volunteered.
As adults, they must accept full responsibility for choosing the military. They had many other options to choose from. Nobody forced them into the military.
So Sarah Palin's son beat up his girlfriend because he has PTSD because people don't have respect for the military and that's Obama's fault.
Bravo, psycho bitch from hell. You've impressed me.
Man, I wish I could be a callous ass like you. You must sleep so well at night knowing that you are so much better then our vets. Especially one named Palin.
Combat veterans are responsible for almost 21 percent of domestic violence nationwide, linked to the development of post traumatic stress disorder. This is comparable to the fact that veterans alone account for 20 percent of U.S. suicides. We call the problem of veteran suicide an "epidemic," funding research, convening conferences, and creating new programs, hotlines and therapies aimed at prevention, intervention and reducing the stigma of seeking mental health care. But we don't talk about veteran intimate partner violence at all, effectively ensuring that the catastrophic consequences remain largely unacknowledged and unaddressed.
