@Izzie,
That was my fastest on a good day, back when, only over 4 miles. I'm proud of her too, not knowing her at all. Gooooooooo, Caralyn!

On the crying, I started to tear when I saw folks crossing the bridge on a NYT photo, and that got me the last time I followed as well.. maybe it was a video then. Not sure why, something about my years of marathon watching back in LA, but the bridge brings out my emotions. Then knowing people now, I feel connected to the day to day struggles and the joys.

Ah, it's so lovely - Caralyn flew in NYC on Thursday and met up with JoeN a couple nights ago... how cool is that - connections within connections - really makes me teary - I'm just willing her every step towards that line right now... 23.54 miles... she's gotta be hurting some...
