Man Bashing, and what Men should do about it

this has no bearing on my assertion, but would you explain please?

I would buy that the one who demands control of the relationship likely is the most fearful, the least confident, is displaying a lack of confidence in their power, but it is a sign of not caring about the relationship?? I think when people bully they are confident that they will get away with it, that the relationship will not be in danger. Most of the time however control is decided by agreement, both the controller and the controlled have consented to the power structure.

I am not objecting to men agreeing to being controlled by their woman, I am objecting to the cultural teaching that this is the expected, that men who refuse are knuckle draggers who are a potential danger to women. This idea that men must do everything possible to act around women like they will comply with womens demands or else be branded a threat that women need to avoid has gotten way out of hand.

the way I put it is that men should stop taking **** from women

There is a 1000 miles between a man who is willing to stand up for himself and a man who will beat on or rape a woman

And that's what he tells the judge when she applies for an Order of Protection against him.

traditionally women have both known and been willing to soothe the male ego, this happens a lot less now,

Yes, and it makes sense. I take note of many commentators who are saying of late that now that women do better in the job market than men, and now that women can play the field for men in the same masculine way that men have always shopped for women regardless of their relationship status, that women increasingly dont care if they have a committed relationship with a guy or not. They have loads of opions now, so the long term commintted relationship witha guy option is less compelling than it once was. This would argue that these same women are turning the screws to their men, as in "we do it my way or you get lost buster".

However, I dont have enough evidence to either support the conclusion that this is what is going on, or to dismiss it. I read your theory and filed it way, awaiting more information. I think that the feminsits have long been driving for the day when women could set the terms on a take it or leave it basis, I just dont know if they have done it already.
