Houston has either the worst defense stats-wise or next-to-worst (though I know you know this fact). Personally, I wouldn't pick Houston as the fave to beat a good college team. That's just me, but watch them kick Philly's arse.

FWIW, the computer predictions are saying Houston is a 12.5-point underdog and the fans are saying 80%-20% for Philly to beat Houston outright.

Right. Which is why I thought it was a fair chance to pick them against the spread in the game where the spread is taken into account. I don't get too excited about it one way or the other. It's just a game.

Seriously, I see the CURRENT point-spread by the bookies around 8.5 to 9.5 pts, though the other game-simulating computer predictions are 12.5 pts.

Somerthing to mull over is current state of key injuries. If Philly is without Asante Samuel playing at all (or close to full-strength), this could impact their offense a bit.
