@realjohnboy,
"Instead, the audio will come from something like 13 players and coaches who were wired for the game. Serious editing, of course, including of the frequent obscenities."
my guess is that it will sound as though R2D2 is doing the color...
bleep blip bleep.
The early games finally end with the Steelers beating the Bills in OT.
Osso, Region, JPB, AndyClubber, Spendius, McGentrix, LiontamerX and Panzade have only one miscue each so far.
Jespah (sigh) has five.
@realjohnboy,
I will always flub as I post emotionally for a game or two. Unless the bozos somehow win.
It appears that Osso, AndyClubber, Region and McGentrix are at 11-3 and will be the only ones in contention to win the week. I could be wrong about that last part.
@realjohnboy,
pfffft!
And, then there are the late games.
@JPB,
You had to do better than I on the late games, though. A true debacle for me.
My scorecard is indeed awash in red ink in the late games.
I am going to have to dust off the tie breaking rules after tonight's game.
I have Osso and AndyClubber at 12-3 and both are picking Arizona. Region and Fbaezer are at 11-4 are going with San Francisco. Edgar and McGentrix are also 11-4 but have Arizona. They cannot win.
@realjohnboy,
Complicating matters for me is that I want SF to win even though I selected Arizona..
@edgarblythe,
sounds like Tennessee is self-destructing.
where's Randy Moss playing now...?
21-6 at the half in favor of San Francisco over Arizona. 7 of us chose the 49's vs 16 for the Cardinals or whatever their nickname is.
Bedtime for the Redneck. The red pill and the green one have been delivered by the nurse who probably could play defensive tackle for an NFL team. I hid them under my tongue and spat them out after she left. I might be able to stay awake for another quarter.
@realjohnboy,
I suppose I'll lose a chance for the big pot, but I like to see a mild sign of life from SF. They are similarly miserable teams.
If San Francisco wins, there will be a 4 way tie which will be broken based on the final score of the game.
Osso has the final score as being 24-20 while AndyClubber says 14-10. He may be out of contention, already. Fbaezer (14-10) may also be, while Region (34-28) could still be in it.
The smart money is on Osso, or it could be on Region.
@realjohnboy,
27-6 was your final.
i believe congrats to osso are in order...
Indeed, Osso wins Week #12. She, along with AndyClubber, Region and Fbaezer, finished the session at 12-4. I only had to go to the 1st tiebreaker to award her the trophy. Osso also scored a 12-4 in Week #11.
Panzade, Lmur, McGentrix, Edgar and Mysteryman ended at 11-5. LiontamerX,
Ragman, Spendius, JPB, Tico and EeBeth finished at 10-6 while Ms Cowdoc, George and Johnboy salvaged a winning record at 9-7. CoastalRat and Rhys broke even at 8-8. Cowdoc was 7-9 and Alex, who skipped a game, was 6-9. And then there was Jespah. 5-11. 5-11, I say again.
The best ESPN expert went 12-4 while the worst was 9-7. CoinToss finished 7-9.
As a group we stumbled after the early games, but we still finished the week at .610 which is one of our better outings.
@realjohnboy,
Well, this will never do, I'll have to revert to my 0ld ways.
And, dammit, Frank Gore broke his hip..
STANDINGS after Week #12-

22) Jespah (.500) drops 2 spots after going 5-11 in Week #12
23) Alex (.466) gets a more solid hold on the cellar spot.
The best ESPN expert is at .619 which would be good again for 3rd while the worst is at .540 - putting him in 16th again.
As a group we come in at .564 for the season so far.
