Grins... Now I know who I should have sent some of my oldie cookbooks to. I still like Joy of Cooking, think mine is a newish 1974.
I like potato soup. I'm making, ah, tuscan mishmash soup. That is, a mix of leftover onion-bacon-parsley soup
with a can of diced italian style tomatoes
with some leftover home cooked pinto beans and their natural sauce
with some of my previously roasted cut up red potatoes and their basil/garlic/salt/pepper, plus water to dilute. We'll see.
