@George,
A Singapore billionaire has stepped up with an offer to buy the Liverpool football club. More money plus all cash vs debt. I thought yall would want to know that.

@panzade,
The Jets keep kicking field goals, but the Vikings did score. I, alas, won't see the outcome of this until tomorrow. The nurse gave me a blue pill and a green one. Bedtime for me.

Here are the rules regarding what happens if 2 or more players end a week with identical Win-Loss records. I take responsibility for them but JPB's fingerprints are also on them.
1) The player closest to the winning team's score.
2) The player closest to the losing team's score.
3) The player closest to the home team's score.
4) The player closest to the visiting team's score.
5) The player closest to the total points scored by the 2 teams.
6) The player who is ranked lowest in the standings here.

WEEK #5 ... And It Just Gets Worse and Worser.
Perhaps we need to adopt a new picking strategy: (A) Make our choices and then (B) Reverse them all.
Liontamerx and Ms Cowdoc finished in a tie at 8-6. Liontamerx was 2 points away from the winning team's score while Ms C was off by 5. 8-6 is not too great, but it was enough to take the week for Liontamerx.
A bunch of us ended at 7-7: Alex, George, McGentrix, AndyClubber, Mysteryman, Ragman, Region, Tico, EhBeth and Johnboy. Coastalrat, Edgar, Rhys, Jespah and Osso came in at 6-8. Fbaezer, Panzade, Cowdoc, Spendius and JPB could only manage a 5-9 mark. And Lmur endured a bad week, going 3-11.
The best ESPN guy was 7-7 while the worst finished at 4-10.
As a group we got beat up badly with the losses by Green Bay, Cincy, Houston, New Orleans, Dallas, San Diego and St Louis.
We finished the week at .447.

Week #6 is coming up. A third of the way through the season. Concentrate!

And the Standings After Week #5:

1) Ragman holds onto 1st with a winning record of .618
2) JPB slips from owning a share of 1st to now being in a tie for 2nd at .592
2) Liontamerx moves up from 3rd
4) Tico slips a notch with .579
5) EhBeth gains from 6th with .553
5) Spendius drops from 3rd
5) Ms Cowdoc advances from 9th
8) AndyClubber climbs up a slot with .539
8) Edgar drifts down from 6th
10) McGentrix moves up from 12th at .533
11) Panzade, despite a bad week, advances from 16th with .526
11) Jespah slips from 9th
13) George moves up from 14th at .517
14) Cowdoc loses a lap, dropping from 13th at .500
14) Rhys gains two notches from 16th
14) Coastalrat matches that
14) Mysteryman has the biggest gain, rising from 19th
18) Region slips from 20th with .487
19) Osso moves up one at .474
19) Johnboy advances two spots
21) Lmur slumps from 16th at .461
22) Fbaezer, at .434 moves up one
23) Alex is still in the cellar at .400.

Cyclo, who was in 14th, says he has lost interest in playing.
The best ESPN guy would be in 1st place again this week at .632 while the worst expert, at .474, would be tied for 19th.
14) Cowdoc

Oops. Alert! ALERT!
Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers suffered a possible concussion near the end of the game Sunday against the Redskins. He will not practice again until at least Wednesday.
The NFL has become very cautious about concussions - with an unwritten rule advising that players perhaps be benched for a week.
I had a concussion once when I tripped over a fire hose in a dark hallway of an apartment building in Capetown. It was an interesting experience as I seemed to be okay but then would pass out. I would wake up, only to slump over again a minute or two later.

@realjohnboy,

the viking coaching staff didn't seem all that concerned about brent grabbing his elbow after every pass he made in the 4th quarter last night...
