I didnt see the game, I'm gonna watch it tomorrow.
But I did listen to it on the radio and I think that the Saints let themselves get caught up in all the excitement leading up to the game, and the Vikings surprised them.

Wait till you watch it - it didn't look that way at all. Instead, NO decided to push the run game in the 2nd half... and it worked great.

Favre looked uncomfortable and kind of overly aware of himself. He'll be in trouble if he can't put a win together next week at home.

@thack45,
The sports pundits I have heard say that the soap opera thing he pulled: "Will he come back for a 20th season?" is not only tiresome but also hurts the team. Two weeks of practice before a game against a quality opponent doesn't cut it. He got away with it last season because MN started out playing some weak teams.

I'm so entirely annoyed by Favre that I may come around to liking him again, just kidding.

But re how the teams resolve ---- that's more interesting.

@alex240101,
You can still pick the rest of the games in Week #1, Alex. That Thursday game crept up on us.

Oops. Wrong thread with the post above.
So, how are we doing so far?
It appears that the Rapping Rednecks have racked up 100 Fantasy Points today.

Eat my dust.

@realjohnboy,
Yes. It would appear that Johnson and Foster make for a good RB1 and RB2 start. Specifically, 67 points good!

@thack45,
Oh, there's Thack, who is bushwhacking me. Perhaps reasonably.
Well, hey.
Stay tuned. I was second last year.

Well, me and a bunch of other people.
I will learn from this episode!!

@Cycloptichorn,
But you have Drew Brees starting tonight, so that may bring you back.
And I have Reggie Bush tonight, so I hope he has a decent game also.

No way man. Brees would have to have a stellar game and Bush almost nothing in order to win.

In retrospect it was the SD defense who really lifted ya up - great game by them.

@Cycloptichorn,
Yea, they did play a good game.
But I should have followed my gut and started the Indy defense.

The bad part is I have Jeremy Shockey on the bench for tonight.
I should have started him.

Are you serious? You got 14 points off of Clark. You think Shockey's going to beat that tonight?

I guess I'm also surprised to hear that you think you should have started the Indy defense - they scored 1 point less than the SD one you did start!

Probably. Or maybe he's just not that good.

Yahoo has him ranked 145 now.
Let's check back in on week 4 and see where he stands then.
Should be interesting.

Berrian is now ranked 2,315.
He is a free agent.

@fbaezer,
Bah.

Oh well ... you won't have Tico to kick around anymore.

Until next year when we smash King John!
