The only bad thing about arriving late is that I would have chosen Matt Schaub instead of a third WR. The only worse thing is that Tico grabbed him.
Anyways, there is never a perfect draft.

@realjohnboy,
Actually, my POS laptop joined with the internet in a consorted effort in eating my homework. But you are correct in that these are excuses. In the end I do have some players of value, but I couldn't find the players I wanted in time so some auto-picks were selected for me. And I had no idea until about 20 seconds too late about V. Jackson's situation...

Hi, Thack. Welcome to A2K and to this game of Fantasy Football. You seem to appreciate, I hope, that trash talking is admired. Take little on this thread as being serious and nothing as being personal.
My team ended up looking vastly different than what I had crafted on 3 pages of notes I just fed to the shredder. So it goes.

HOT DAMN, I got both Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne.
How is that for a good start.

And Reggie Bush, and Dallas Clark, and Jeremy Shockey.

@mysteryman,
Looks like MM thinks he is the man to beat, here. He already has made a change in his roster.
As for the 'Necks, I have invited them all over to my house tomorrow for brunch. I will check them out.
See what I got.

@realjohnboy,
The Puppies have an extra QB. Not sure what would interest me in return. Defense, possibly.

Damn. Somehow I ended up with no Kicker and no Defense.

This is not the first time you've employed that strategy, or some variant thereof, RJB.

You want my honest opinion, or the one that will make you feel better?

But unquestionably, MM is the team to beat.

If I had the Jaguar defense, I'd trade it to you for Garrard.

It falls to the mighty Gloucester Tiros to bring MM crashing down to earth in
Week 1. The "bolts" will fall sicut fulgur de caelo.

Bernard Berrian is looking like an awesome pick now!

That's probably because the number 1 guy for the Vikings, Sidney Rice, wasn't out for half the season like he will be this year.

Probably. Or maybe he's just not that good.

Yahoo has him ranked 145 now.
Let's check back in on week 4 and see where he stands then.
Should be interesting.

@Cycloptichorn,
At the start of last season, Rice wasn't the #1 guy. Perhaps he assumed that role because Berrian sucked?

Perhaps - we'll find that out this year, won't we?

You still have confidence that Fitz will be the guy for you this year? It's not his skills or injury I'm worried about, but the fact that the rest of the AZ offense is looking pretty shitty at the moment...

@Cycloptichorn,
I have zero confidence that Fitz is the guy for me this year. And I wasn't happy with that pick, but it was a matter of best available pick at the time. I must say I'm pleased with the apparent change from Leinert. I hope Anderson will at least sling downfield and pick up some yards.

Ahh... Nothing gets me ready for another year in the storied institution that is the NFL like Dave Matthews, exploitation of hurricane Katrina, and something called Taylor Swift.

But enough of that. Good luck to everyone in the a2k ffl. Looking forward to a fun season.
