@OCCOM BILL,
There was a case recently here in NYC where the defense argued that in other places a tire iron might be considered a lethal weapon hence the District Attorney's Office bringing the charge of assault w/a deadly weapon against his client, but he went on, "This is New York."
The judge agreed and reduced the charge to simple assault.

@Walter Hinteler,
One thread I am picking up on is that any girlfriend in New Mexico who is considering leaving her boyfriend ought to immediately inform the authorities that some kind of murderous mayhem is bound to ensue.

Robert Reza

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.(AP) - A man who shot his way into an Albuquerque solar manufacturing plant this week, targeting his ex-girlfriend, called Rio Rancho police last year claiming she assaulted him.

That’s according to a tape of the call Robert Reza made in May 2009.

Reza told an emergency dispatcher that girlfriend Adrienne Basciano was mentally unstable.

In the background, Basciano says Reza’s the one who’s unstable.

Rio Rancho police spokesman John Francis says officers who responded stood by while Reza gathered things and left.

Francis says Reza and Basciano denied any “physical battery” and no police report was made.

Albuquerque police say Reza killed himself Monday after killing two Emcore Corp. employees and wounding four others, including Basciano.

@Butrflynet,

a a person called 911 and reported as a victim of domestic violence, a police office responded and yet no police report was made. WHY NOT? apparently men are never the victim of domestic violence.

It sometimes helps to read past the first line of an account.

Francis says Reza and Basciano denied any “physical battery” and no police report was made.

@dyslexia,
Probably because there were other reports of domestic violence within weeks of that 911 call and the heartless leftists in the police department were being selective in what they reported on.

@Butrflynet,
No, it explains the reason right in that lengthy 10 or 12 line report, BFN.

Dys will get to the rest of it after his nap.
