Democracy is great in theory, but often fails miserably in practice. It's only worth a chit if the culture that it operates within is healthy and strong. A weak, corrupt, lazy culture will produce a worthless democracy, which in turn will only serve to worsen conditions in said country. What a hideous symptom of our state of cultural rot it is that a future president can get elected without saying a frig'n word above the intellectual threshold of "hello". :headbang:
