A glimpse into the future? Hillary Clinton?

@Pinochet73,
Hillary Clinton gets off lightly when people discuss her in political descriptives such as 'progressive' or 'socialist', etc.

What is most frightening to me is her true nature - she is a controlling narcissist and does nothing which will not benefit her personally on the world stage. I believe even her marriage and the one child is part of the long range plan she has had since her father impressed her with his teachings. She does nothing spontaneously and from the heart.

If one thinks she has a high priority for the American people, I would caution them to reassess their vision - it is a disguise she presents - she is only concerned with self.

A truly toxic person - and one I would hope never elected to such a high place in this nation. She can operate under the Senatorial role because there
are boundaries within which she must report, but to have the power of the Presidency in her hands would be tragic for all of us.

Sounds like you'll be right at home here. We do to go extremes sometimes but all in all were are a solid group. With the occasional Emo run rampant, LOL.

Yet it's funny how many share that view and run to UN resolutions to defend their positions, hmmm

Well, obviously they're going to try a little, they just can't get that far with it.

@mousy,
It's particularly difficult for me to imagine Slick Willie running the UN and that dreadful woman of his running the United States of America. Effectively, if she is elected and he is appointed, they will have the power to control the world. If that doesn't make you shudder with fear, you are truly lost.

Socialism is a moral fantasy, nothing more. Human nature doesn't conform to it.

Interesting concept 92b1

Any examples?

What about the 12 years of Iraq "resolutions" while some members of the U.N. were profiting during the oil for food scam?

What about leaving the U.S. to hang out to dry in the DMZ since the 50s?

Everytime someone tries to justify invading Iraq, and then as soon as all the reasons got trumped, they fall back on..."well they broke UN resolutions", yet the same people will say they hate the UN and that we should remove ourselves from it, if not dissolve it.

And which DMZ are speaking of? The on in Korea?

When you sign something is it reasonable to expect you to hold up to the bargain you signed? Funny Saddam get a pass from you, are you the type of person the fulfills your obligations, you must not if you think it ok for Saddam to not?-

The 'reasons' I gave were in rebuttal (return argument) to your blanket statement about the United Nations.

The DMZ Demilitarized Zone is the border between N and S Korea to keep them from war. It was set up in the 1950s and is still maintained, and paid for, and staffed by the United States - at no cost to the U.N. who never acknowledge the debt they owe - only that the U.S. pays its 'dues late'.

There are many more examples of the U.N.'s disgusting failure since the concept was set up after World War II - at which time it was a fantastic dream - too bad some nations have used it and abused it to their advantage.

"Well they broke the resolutions" is an accurate statement. Are you actually implying Iraq had a right to disregard the U.N. mandates? Knock knock

So, in the same breath, you acknowledge that the UN is garbage, and that we should care about their resolutions? This is exactly the problem.

Are you now putting words into my post where I did not?

Please explain how you leaped into the abyss on that one?

The resolutions are always charged to the U.S. to enforce. Why should the U.S. continue to be expected to handle all the military roles the U.N. hasn't the backbone to enforce themselves.

The fact the resolutions were made, we should ignore them because the U.N. is a ridiculous stage play these days making too much paperwork and taking trips while accomplishing nothing in the world they were charged with overseeing. They live for their 'conferences' which are in reality expensive nights out in cosmopolitan locations - six times per year - spending time patting each other on the back.

One year they met quite near Zimbabwe while down the road Robert Mugabe was thrashing White Farmers' lives from them, taking over their farms and generally starving out the breadbasket which was fed from these farms. He forgot to teach his henchmen how to plant seeds perhaps?

But the U.N. saw fit to have their six course meals and wine..... unbelievable.

I think the problem is that you dislike anyone to speak against the United Nations - a group of incompetent actors who are invested purely for self aggrandizement and profit.

Prove me wrong.

@mousy,
The Iraq War is so unpopular, it's draining our will to fight Al Qaeda, anywhere, under any circumstances. It's causing us to betray the victims of 911. It has also caused Europe to completely fold in the face of Islamic antagonism. It's a tragedy of ever-increasing proportion, not because it's morally wrong, but because of its unpopularity. Americans thought the WOT would be an easy victory.

I hate ******* UN. I hate the fact that they drafted a resolution based on proven lies, and now we are in a war because of it, and people like to try siting that resolution, and permission for war as being the reason. You're an idiot if you think I am defending the UN, I think they should be dissolved, they are corrupt, and support world government, of which I am highly opposed. Get you facts straight before accusing me of **** little girl.
