I know it's been done before, but there's been so many new members from so many different places recently, I thought I'd ask again. The one request I'd make, be careful with abbreviations. The US for example, with fifty something states. There's plenty of people who don't know what all the abbreviations mean.

I'm from the town of Kanahooka, in the state of New South Wales, in the biggest island in the world-Australia.

I was born in New York City, in he borough of Manhattan, with a "home" address in the borough of the Bronx. I was raised in Illinios and Virginia. I now reside in Hilliard, Ohio, which is just to the northwest of Columbus, the state capital, in the center of the state.

(Psssst--Wilso, was that specific enough?)

I'm originally from Seattle. I went to high school outside of Chicago, and college in the Denver area. Our three kids were born in Texas, and for the past 11 years I've worked here in Saudi.

Toronto, born and raised. I was searching for a song about Toronto, but seeing as how the rest of the country hates us, I didn't have much luck. Laughing

Cav...I've been to Toronto, and it seems more American than any city in Canada I've seen. Is this my imagination?

I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA. Right in the middle of the state. Great plains, red clay soil, lots of wind. Have also lived in Ventura, California...Cleveland,Ohio...and Dallas, Texas.

Now live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I have been for more than 20 years. Intend to stay here. Green rolling hills, lots of lakes and rivers, clean, pretty city with a metro area of about 750,000.

Eva, Toronto has a complex....it wants to be New York, but doesn't have enough money. Go to Montreal one day, it is much more fun.

Just for Cav...
The Toronto Song, by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie

I hate the SkyDome and the CN Tower too;
I hate Nathan Philips Square and the Ontario Zoo!
The rent's too high,
The air's unclean,
The beaches are dirty,
And the people are mean!
And the women are big and the men are dumb
And the children are loopy 'cause they live in a slum!
The water is polluted and the mayor's a dork!
They dress real bad and they think they're New York...
In Toronto . . . !
Ontario . . . oh-oh!
"You know . . . now that I think about it, I pretty much hate all of Ontario!"
"Yeah! Me too!"
I hate Thunder Bay and Ottawa,
Kitchener, Windsor, and Oshawa!
London sucks and the Great Lakes suck,
And Sarnia sucks and Turkey Point sucks!
I took a trip to Ontario to visit Brian Mulroney!
He beat me up and he stole my pants
And he put me in a tree!
I went to see the Maple Leafs
And got hit in the head with a puck.
"Uh I don't even know how they did it . . . I mean, I was playin' the organ at the time!"(And Alan Thicke sucks!)
Ontario . . . oh-oh-oh sucks.
"Come to think of it, I pretty much hate every gosh darn province and territory in our country!"
"Well except Alberta!"
"Oh yeah, of course I love Alberta! Lot's of cows, rocks, trees and dirt . . . mmmmoo moo moo!"
But . . . I hate Newfoundland 'cause they talk so weird
And Prince Edward Island is . . . too small.
Nova Scotia's dumb 'cause it's the name of a bank;
New Brunswick doesn't have a good mall!
Quebec is revolting and it makes me mad!
Ontario sucks . . . Ontario sucks.
"Manitoba's population density is 1.9 people per square kilometre! Isn't that stupid?!"
Saskatchewan is boring and the people are old!
And as for the territories . . .
They're too cold!
"And the only really good thing about the province of British Columbia is that it's right next to us!"
'Cause Alberta . . . a-a
Doesn't suck!
But Calgary does . . . !

I come from Canada, the really big country, usually pink on the maps, one of the three in north america, right above the united states, just below the artic circle, between the atlantic and the pacific oceans. I was born in raised in Alberta, as you may have guessed. Albeta is bordered by the magnificient rockies to the west and the great northern praires to the east. I live smack dab in the middle of the province in a city called Edmonton. I have lived in British Columbia, next province over, on the coast and interior - Kelowna, and in la belle province, Quebec.
Thanks for asking,
Ceili
