Not good. I don't even think that pro wrestlers throw chairs at fans, do they?

Yeah, that pitcher is in big trouble. The video image of a bleeding female fan is going to be hard to argue against.

I wonder what the Oakland fans say that outrages the Rangers so?

Every time I see that video, I cringe. That woman was just in the stands. Even if she was the chief heckler (and I don't believe there's any information on that), so what? Francisco has to be a grownup. Heckling is a fact of the professional sporting life, and the remedy is to contact security and tell them to throw out the heckler(s) if it goes too far. Security makes the determination but they need to be contacted by the sportsman.

<shaking head> Scary, are we going to end up with the same plexi barriers like there are in hockey?

Anyone have a link for that video? I haven't seen it yet.

There's no line a fan could cross that could cause that. Unless, of course, the fan said something like "your mama's a ho."

From what I read, it was the injured fan's husband who was antagonizing the Rangers. He was the target for the chair thrower. Just shows how hard it is to be accurate with a chair from any distance...

thanks to the appeals process, FF got to pitch last night.
he pitched an inning, gave up a homer in throwing 15 pitches (all baseballs -- no chairs)...

Re Braves-Astros: Clemens was to pitch yesterday but missed start due to stomach ailment. Now he's slated to pitch vs. Atlanta on Wednesday.

Bad break for my Braves!
