@littlek,
That sammie consisted of a mountain of Pastrami, Corned Beef, wide Salami, cole slaw and Russian dressing.

It will be my Sunday breakfast. Yum!

How are you feeling?

Hope we didn't wear you out!

Not so good. Slept a little. Couldn't breathe. It's a little better now. Also, my legs are sore. I haven't been able to breathe for so long that I haven't walked at all. This may have been a stroll for you guys, but for me it was a hike.

Not sorry for one minute that I went. I really had a wonderful time. Wish I coulda stayed longer.

David....I gotta give you a fair warning.

The place is wired....the first person to mention guns, their balls will drop off.
Thanx for the warning; I will not discuss guns in the restaurant.
Flush with successful victory, I, we, can afford to be magnanimous.
I don 't discuss them (here, nor elsewhere) as much as I used to
before June of 2008 and again in June of 2010.

I don 't tend to bring up the subject sua sponte,
but I do take questions and I correct inaccurate assertions of alleged fact.

It has always been a civil rights issue.

Sounds just wonderful!
More! Tell us more! Smile
(I thought Beth (& possibly Setanta) were coming, too? Must have gotten my wires crossed somewhere.)

I hope you're feeling a bit better, Roberta.

Oh! Some of my most favorite people all in one place. It had to be a blast.
Miss you all, and New York, too. Too bad you people are so camera shy, but...understood.

Apologies to Jespah for nearly blocking her out, I handed my Blackberry to a passerby (I love NY)(That's her finger on the edge of the screeen) and just put my light truck chassis right in the front.

@Joe Nation,
Hey, Joe. Where's Thomas? Did he leave?

Loving looking at all those punims. I had a wonderful time. Wonderful, I tell ya. Wishing I wasn't such a feeble AK. Hell, if I was breathing right, I'd still be there.

When I came home, I ran into the super's son. He said that I looked like I had a good time. Told him about the Frying Pan. He said he was on his way. Maybe his girlfriend took the picture. It's a small world.

@Roberta,
Well it was really great meeting you Roberta and sharing a potato knish. You are a stellar and extraordinary example of Yankee fandom. I think there is a better chance of peace between the fans of the Red Sox and the Yankees (more so then the possibility of Peace in the Middle East) because of this meeting.

Because of this historic meeting, I will make the concession and throw my support behind the Yankees (this playoff season only) and I'll booster for them to win the World Series (offer expires November 5th 2010).

@tsarstepan,
Stunned and deeply moved, tsar. This is indeed historic. I think you may have achieved the heretofore impossible. I'm speechless.

@Roberta,

'boida, that pic was taken after you and thomas had left...
tsar, your allegiance shift tipped the scales -- those damn yankees completed a sweep last night in da bronx...

***

had an amazing time yesterday!
it was surreal, but in a good way.
meeting the wabbit and 'boida have been long-time goals.
accomplishing both on the same day was like winning the lottery...

it was great meeting frank, kicky, david and joe nation.
thomas and littlek are old friends at this point because we've had so many meet-ups...

the restaurant was loud and the table was way too small for that many people.
but, as is usually the case, the locale and food play bit parts in gatherings...

once we hit the pavement, we formed smaller groups and headed over to the Frying Pan, frank leading the way.
there we were able to hear each other much better.
as we drank our beverages of choice, the conversation gradually transformed into a (somewhat heated) discussion
of the difference between aetheism and agnosticism! .. Laughing
