Thanks Tsar! (edit: I went to hopstop and have no idea what I'm looking at. It's all colored circles with letters and I have no idea what it all means.)

Dlowan - the round trip is 40+ bucks for late-bookers (ie: me). The trip is between 4 and 5 hours one way.

Cub has to go to Somerville New Jersey Monday to pick up a car. Looks like NYC is only about 45 miles further northeast.... Thinking... thinking...

What are the meet up plans?

@dlowan,
Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier---had to run a half-marathon and entertain my visiting parents. What are your plans this evening, say seven-pm-ish? We can also do stuff tomorrow. Either way, please feel free to call me on the phone number I gave you per PM some time ago.

I wish I was there! I hope everyone has fun! For those not there, let's watch this great video that was made to showcase NYC!

Quote:
New York is doing so many terrific things with bike lanes, bus priority, public spaces and more, and EMBARQ wanted to show all the leaders of the world's cities about it.

Some visit New York in person, but for those that can't, they created this video, which they showed on Thursday before the panel I spoke on with Gabe Klein and NYC's Jon Orcutt.

Quote:
New York's Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Department of Transportation are on a mission to make the Big Apple the "greatest, greenest big city in the world" by ramping up bicycle infrastructure across the city, introducing bus rapid transit to the Bronx, and pedestrianizing Times Square, among other bold transportation initiatives.

I love stuff like this.

@dlowan,
Leaving my house in Metuchen now. Won't make it by six. Hope to catch you at French Roast around seven. If you leave before, say, 7:30, please give me a call. If not, I'll definitely meet you there.
