Bunny, can you folks leave your luggage (et al) at some train station lockers, if they have train station lockers, if you can't at your friend's place? I've no idea if airports have lockers..

Yeah.....but the COST!

May come down to that though.

We put our luggage in lockers at Gothemburg. Cost was no more than
10 aud for as long as you want. admittedly it was only 1 locker, for two back packs and an overnight bag.

@dadpad,
Left luggage so far in London, where the leaving will need to happen, has been eight pounds per item the first day and four pounds per item per day after that.

That'd be ninety six pounds for me.

@dlowan,
Next time, take it to a pawn shop and get a short term loan on the luggage. The interest is nearly always less than storage charges.

All those who participated in the a2k NY Meet can send me their mailing address by PM for a white a2k cap I had made that shows on the back SF, Chicago, London, Austin, Boston, and NY.

Beware... the Bunny has a lot of impersonators trying to con their way into your heart:

@dlowan,
Oof.

In other news, I don't think I'm gonna make it. Sad I really want to, and I'm still getting emails from all the places I signed up for specials on airfare and hotels, and there is still some small chance that if something fantastic shows up on one of those AND some other things change I'll go. But time + money + circumstances are not aligning well for me.

Sad Sad Sad

I know it sucks ... I've known for about a week that it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to go and keep putting off saying so... gotta get it over with.

YOU will have a fabulous time regardless. I look forward to at least stories if not stories + pics.

@dlowan,
Meanwhile....I'm sitting in a bar near the British museum having got off alone for a bit

Love the museum..I think it's my favorite place in London

Couple more days in London then off to Paris

I've lost track of what day etc it is!

Walked for ages in Kensington gardens and Hyde park yesterday, after sleepering in from Scotland

Mailed some stuff back to oz today in an attempt to have luggage issues resulting from flying back from Berlin on an el cheapo airline

Got news that Miranda is ok...apparently worming her way into the heart of male foster parent

@dlowan,
Doesn't sound bad. Sounds good. Have something you wanted for 18 steenkin' years. Good.

Glad the feline is ok.

When I was in England for a semester I spent a LOT of time at the British Museum. Didn't live there exactly but I did my best.
