I'm scratching my head over this one.

Vacant building vs a new business
Jobs for maybe 10 or a dozen people.
Relatively inexpensive food that can be healthy

Some protestors has too much time on their hands.

I'm not really sure exactly what their beef is with Subway. Maybe they're foodies who just don't like mediocre sandwiches.

A lot of Subway franchises I used to patronize never employed that many people. Plus it's not like they get paid more then minimum wage or get any legitimate benefits other then free food once in awhile.

Fire crews say parrots in burning house were calling for help

BOISE, ID --
Firefighters arriving at a burning house in Idaho on Friday say they heard what sounded like calls for help from inside.

Once they got the flames contained, they found the source of the calls: two parrots.

The firefighters say the birds were actually saying "Help!" and "Fire!"

KBOI-TV reports that fire crews got the birds out of the house and gave them oxygen. They're expected to be OK.

No people were inside the house in Middleton, which is west of Boise.
