@FBM,
To think ... he turned himself back in to the authorities the following week. Quite an oddity.

It was a touching tribute from an unexpected group of animals - a pack of stray dogs stood watch over the funeral of a woman who dedicated her life to helping animals.

Austrian musician Matthias Meinharter, a member of the Vegetable Orchestra, poses for a picture with a musical instrument made from vegetables in Haguenau, eastern France, Jan 15, 2014. The Vegetable Orchestra plays music with instruments made out of vegetables - from carrot recorders to leek violins. Created in 1998 and based in Vienna, Austria, its members include artists with a wide range of backgrounds, from musicians to designers. The orchestra crafts instruments freshly before every performance, and the off-cuts are used to cook a soup, which is dished out to audience members after the show.

A tiny rabbit was seen in the right ear of a 9-meter bronze statue of the late former South African President Nelson Mandela in Pretoria. The rabbit, which has yet to be removed, was placed by the sculptors as a "small trademark" after being told they were not allowed to add their signatures to the trousers of the nine-meter bronze statue.

That's the worst statue I have ever seen. Who but the "artist" would know whom it is representing, if they were not told.

Would anybody at all guess it is Lucille Ball?

@edgarblythe,
Absolutley not.

The artist doesn't even have the hair right, or if he was representing her in the vitameativegamin commercial, with her hat on. He couldn't even get her famous arched eyebrows correct.

Ball was a beautiful woman, and this does nothing for her. It's insulting to her memory.

@edgarblythe,
Funny, but it reminds me of Eleanor Roosevelt -- someone whom I've always held in high regard.
