a mix of oddity, humor, and even repulsion if you don't like football or the 49ers - interesting to me though. Probably a trained walrus, no? Or not, maybe they're great mimics (I didn't read the article, but could see the video)
I've always rather liked walruses.

It's weird, but this made me think about string theory and multiple overlapping universes, and how what we perceive as the universe is a 'shadow' of reality.

A Subway Worker Used The Oven To Dry Her Wet Socks
The first rule of doing something gross when working in the catering industry: Don’t post it to social media.

@hingehead,
Actually, for fast food, the quality of the sandwiches at Subway is rather high.

@Setanta,
Relative to Taco Bell, McDonald's, and say Denny's? Yeah. That's true. But those bars are two inches off of the ground.

The standard to which i referred is fast food. Here, they bake their bread each day, and they use low-fat cold cuts, many of them turkey based. They were the first out there advertising their calorie count, without being required to do it. The original company (in North America) was started by a guy who wanted to go to medical school, and "healthy fast food" was his goal. I was shocked to learn that it's the largest fast food franchise in the world (source at Wikipedia):

Quote:
Subway (stylized as SUBWAY) is an American fast food restaurant franchise that primarily sells submarine sandwiches (subs) and salads. It is owned and operated by Doctor's Associates, Inc. Subway is one of the fastest growing franchises in the world, with 40,855 restaurants in 105 countries and territories as of January 1, 2014. It is the largest single-brand restaurant chain and the largest restaurant operator globally.

Subway's main operations office is in Milford, Connecticut; five regional centers support Subway's growing international operations. The regional offices for European franchises are located in Amsterdam, Netherlands; the Australia and New Zealand locations are supported from Brisbane, Australia; the Asian locations are supported from offices located in Beirut, Lebanon, and Singapore; and the Latin America support center is in Miami, Florida.

@Setanta,
http://articles.mcall.com/2014-03-03/entertainment/mc-subway-bread-azodicarbonamide-ada-20140303_1_foodbabe-yoga-mat-vani-hari

Do you ever feel like eating your yoga mat — and I don't mean after falling face forward while straining over a downward-facing dog pose.

I mean craving its fluffy and shiny texture in your mouth. If it seems absurd, that's exactly my point.

Subway recently announced it would remove azodicarbonamide from its bread recipes. The chemical also known as ADA is used to increase elasticity in yoga mats,. The decision comes after blogger Vani Hari of FoodBabe.com moved thousands to sign a petition asking the restaurant chain to stop using the chemical to stretch its bread.

@tsarstepan,
That's ridiculous making it a misdemeanor to buy O'Douls, which really isn't beer, but a "malt brew"

Considering it has 0.5% alcohol, and OTC cough syrups contain anywhere from 20% to 70% (that's right 70%) alcohol, and kids can go in a drug store and buy that any time.

From my understanding, you don't have to be 21 to drink O'Douls.
