1. cat lick torture.
i was lying on the couch, contemplating ways to rid myself of a pestilent headache, and called bubba over to lay on my tummy and purr. (this helps, don't argue with me)
bubba is still a member of the household because of her affectionate nature. this almost offsets her willful destructive nature.
after a few minutes of blissful cooperation, she decided to take it to another level. she often decides to clean my beard for me, and while it's kinda weird, I don't think it can lead to long term harm.
today, she decided to start by giving me a bath. working her way up my arm until I hadda make her quit. (I briefly wondered if this was similar to what silly rich ladies go to spas and lighten their spirits and bank accounts for)
I would equate it more with water-boarding, myself.
she was trying to clean the Dink this morning too, and he wound up socking her in the eye.
must just be a female thing...
at least you don't have this....
Anyone who will sock a cat in the eye is OK in my book . . .
@Setanta,
I've found that only works well for other cats.
I only get involved if he has her upside down and starts trying to remove her head with his back feet. usually, though, before I can intercede, she figgers out things have gone south and retreats to act nonchalant at a safe distance from him.
cats are the center of the universe
@shewolfnm,
which leads to #2...
2. felines and human females are startlingly similar creatures.
the more I understand my cats, the more women worry me...
@Rockhead,
Be afraid................

This is established fact.
we interrupt this thread for an important hamster announcement...
The evil down-vote buttons have disappeared.
this is going to specifically disappoint some a2kers I know.
I'm sure they will find other ways to be snarky and rude, though...
thank you for your rapt attention. now back to inanity.
please carry on...
partial retraction...
they just removed the thumbs.
I still like it better.
cowboy thought for the day.
if men were meant to fly, horses would have wings.
@Rockhead,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for removing the thumbs, Robert and mods.
(hamsters)
Exhaling now.
Thanks, Rock, for your random thoughts and this announcement.
@Letty,
they're just hiding, miss letty, but that's ok.
the thumbs was one reason I decided to start this particular thread.
let some stuff come to the surface a bit, mebbe.
we'll see.
gonna do kinda like my amigo, and just let it roll along as it wants to...
hugs.

Can you illuminate me on this point?
@panzade,
mebbe. sorta.
I wanted someplace to post whatever I wanted to talk about.
there's been a coupla folks running around and thumbing down posts in rather inappropriate ways. if it continues, I now have a place that I can name names and not screw up my music.
and I had not started a new topic in a while...
I thumb up or down almost every post by anyone (seriously) this action has nothing to do with liking/disliking the post or the poster; it's just a matter of keeping the forum (on my computer) as uncluttered as possible. I don't thumb down threads that I have any interest in, only individual posts. I see NO reason why my actions would have any effect on anyone else.
@dyslexia,
take a nitro pill, it ain't you, pops...
I thumb down certain kinds of posts. Don't think I have done anything to upset anybody.
@Rockhead,

Is she a dribbler, too? (When she gets really, really affectionate.)
I live with a dribbler.
Things can get very messy if she's having a good time having her head scritched.
@panzade,
That's very funny, panzade!
