A certain person (initials RH) sent me a beautiful, wood, hand-carved otter. I think I may name him James. It's truly lovely. Gotta figure out the right place to put it. Not only do I want it to look right, but I gotta make sure there's no conflict with the other fauna knickknacks. The last think I need is a war of the tschotchkes.

@Roberta,
I'm glad you like it, B...

I looked through the rest of her carvings, but there was no bunnies left.

mebbe if I get snowed in at some point during the winter, I will carve you one myself. I have the rest of her slugs and tools here at the cabin for if I ever get bored with nothing to do time...

hugs.

hey...

I found some old curtains (i'm cleaning out more room in the shop)

gonna go wash 'em, and hang them on the kitchen side of the cabin.

now that the living side is mostly done, there is a lotta work over there before I'm ready to do another winter...

@Rockhead,
I love how resourceful you are. Seriously. I think I have heard it called "Renaissance Man". Yep...that's what you are.

RH, I have a bunny. Thumper. Very small. Very cute. Porcelain. You would not believe the menagerie of knickknacks I've got here. Or maybe you would. Almost all were gifts. I've also got a menagerie of soft cuddly animals. Also gifts.

The only animals I bought (back in my buying days) were additions to my elephant collection.

But if you wanna carve, by all means do. No such thing as too many bunnies.

smoky asked me to pick up some pork chops to grill tonight.

gonna be a tasty meal, methinks.

with bob fries and baked beans...

and some fresh cantaloupe from sparky's garden.

I got top marks from smoky. a nod between bites with a wave.

he has no trouble voicing his dissent when I make something hard for him to chew...

gonna get everything ready to make tomorrow a sandblasting day.

yuck.

when I'm done, Ima take a load of gupp's over to mr vw's and borrow a long hot shower in exchange for a bbq sammich.

the cool fall breeze flitting through the shop has me thinking I may work late into the night.

gonna load some blues tunes in the CD player and see how deep we go...

@edgarblythe,
no taste for Bambi meself, ed...

I could go fishing, but I really don't much care for muddy old catfish, either.

once in a while, one of my buddies will bring me some bass. I can cook it up within my restrictions and still make it tasty...

@Rockhead,
We are supposed to go to a fundraiser tomorrow afternoon. Morgan attends all of them. I personally would rather donate a few bucks then to spend the afternoon with the pretentious bitchy queens we usually run into.

@MMarciano,
yup.

I no longer schmooze.

not that I've been asked of late.

I do most of my do-gooder stuff on a hands on level now. but I stay in front of karma, and out of a suit...

tard.

got a lot done. made a tool bench...

I think bubba is gonna make a fine shop kitty.

once she realized there was to be no petting involved, she settled in on top of a tire, and watched quietly like a pro...

(she got a skritch when I took a break)

Stinky is running sprints from one end of the cabin to the other and back...

he needs to get that crap outta his system before we go bed...

fish feeding time is my favorite time of the night. they get so excited. can't believe I waited this long to set the tanks back up. my sleep has improved dramatically for having the soft sounds to keep me company at night...

gotta crash.
