@Ticomaya,
Hallo folks.

I think I have recovered from the twins birthday party. Lots of kids - up all night. Three of them drummers...twink #2 and his band mates played a lot. Also - zombie's out the wazoo. We watched them, we made a home movie about them...the boys were up to 5:00 in the morning.

It took me a whole day to feel human again.

Smile I have a great amateur zombie movie I will try to figure out how to share. Razz

@ossobuco,
the differnce between us, even then my dearest Jo, was that I can hold my liquor.

you, on the other hand, are a sloppy mean drunk.

due to my health, I have not had a drop of alcohol in over 3 years. just decided one day that I had to stop.

you should give it some thought. especially in your financial situation.

as to your inuendo and snark, yes. JPB helped me get to ablaturkey. she purchased a plane ticket so I could go and see Bob and Diane. I will forever be in her debt.

but she was not sending me an allowance, or paying to have my swamp cooler turned on.

I hope you have a vicious hangover today.

just sayin'...

back to what this thread is supposed to be, and no more shooting fish in a barrel for me...

coyotes...

I got to thinkin' 'bout them last night.

not because of my shitfaced visitor. but because I was counting sheep...

as much as I enjoy hearing them at night, my sheeps are gonna have a lesser opinion on them.

I think mebbe I will hafta get a dog. and discourage their proximity.

but from my youth, I have had an affinity for sheep dogs. I think Ima get ahold of my uncle (I been meaning to anyway, but didn't want anyone on that side of the family to know how sickly I had become) and ask him about what kinda dog it was that my grandad had on the farm. babe was her name. she had a tragic tractor incident while I was in school. we only went to the farm in the summers...

she was an awesome herding dog. she even herded the chickens...

looking at the weather, it is almost done raining.

gonna dump my buckets, and take smoky to wally's. he needs pills...

they predicted .3 inches of rain, if we got any...

it started about 3 am and rained it's ass off since.

floor's wet, I missed the 10 am bucket switch. (I made the 7 am switch, so I was on target to be ok)

back later to survey the damage...

not much wind damage here at the ranch.

crap strewn all over the thread.

oh well...

I forgot to set the ribs out to soak.

but step one in the recipe is to boil them. so we are starting the thaw process as part of the boiling process...

they'll be fine.

cold wet and gray today. got the stove working on a little chunk of hedge. I split it really small in anticipation of wanting small heat out of the stove.

I love it when my planning ahead actually works out...

@ehBeth,
the wheat is going crazy with the rain.

if we don't jump right into drought, it will be a banner year. I will try to remember to charge up my batteries so I can take some photos...

and my new grapes are already reaching for the arbor that is yet to be constructed...

gotta get some fish that will tolerate the cooler water so my mosquito population does not overwhelm me before April...

@Rockhead,
best thing for sheep is a little donkey. They will kick the **** ot of any coyote . They are far better than even dogs case keeper dogs get all fucked p with mud and they look like crap after a few days living with the sheep. NO keeper dogs for us (we tried a great pyrenees once and regifted it to my wifes sister)

@farmerman,
hey, while you are here...

do I have to worry about inbreeding with my sheep?

(they won't be purchased from Arkansas)

@farmerman,
how much will a donkey eat?

and will he need shoes?

I like sheep and goats because they eat my grass. I don't wanna hafta commit to feeding a large animal. sometimes I struggle to keep me and the cats fed proper like...

gotta love the internet...

babe was a border collie.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_Collie

she was the best dog. he was not a sheep rancher.

angus and charolais cattle. but I won't use the tractor. getting it put together to sell it for smoky.

If I can't rototill it, it's too big a job for me...

@Rockhead,
you have obviously NEVER worn a fit flop - they've got major arch support (need it with my extremely arched feet) - I wouldn't want to pay full retail for a pair, but they are a seriously good walking shoe

fit flop innards

they run on something they call wobbleboard technology Laughing

they're kinda like a hi-tech Birkenstock that verges on work appropriate

(I like weird shoes)
