Oh yeah, and MSG is in every Japanese person's kitchen, and is used in just about everything. Along with being called "umami", it's also called "ajinomoto" (lit. The source of taste)

I'll have to start using "Ajinomoto" as an alternative e-identity...I AM a source of taste (in every sense!) and also prone to spin (like the company, but I'll overlook that) in my very un-modest manner, if I adopt the name. Laughing

Now I'm sounding like Gautam - worrying! Shocked

Good to see you here online but with one hand firmly on the wok, mezzie!

Yeah... I suppose I should mention that I, unlike my brother, do NOT do the cooking in my household! I am an encouraging observer, however. Wink

I do know that we don't have a wok, and I've never seen one in a Japanese kitchen, but maybe I just don't know all the variations of "wok" or whether it can be applied to non-Chinese cooking vessels...

Oh - my mistake, mezzie. Wrong terms and wrong idea!

So if you don't cook, how come the recipe, above?

Nah, you don't need to impress me. But, if you haven't seen 'Kill Bill', maybe we can catch it when you're in town. Smile

Sounds good. Emi has been bugging me to see that. She keeps asking me if I knew it was filmed in Japan. Smile

We went out and saw The Last Samurai on the weekend. Thought about starting a thread for it, but figured not too many would've seen it yet!

Well, let me how Last Samurai was....the only thing stopping me from seeing it is Tom Cruise.

He's fine. I won't say anything about it cuz I wouldn't want to spoil it... It's worth seeing for lots of reasons though!

As usual, a man after my own heart, cav. I saw it in New York and then (back home) went with friends again, one week later to see it again!

Like you, I can't wait for Part II.

Feel like I won't know how I felt about Part I until I see Part II. Since it's heading into the Rodriguez-western genre, though, I'm impatient for it to come out...

For all you girls reading this, the best way to do this is to stand in the frozen food aisle wearing a tank top.

True - it's been too long, but the whole "perfect Indian prince" bit is rather un-modest, non?

I know my husband only goes to the grocery in the mornings. He is in workout attire, and knows exactly what he needs to get because I gave him those orders Laughing . He usually only gets a few things...the basics...like milk, bread and eggs.
So my guess would be that if they were single...they would be shopping hours before that "big" game in average attire like jeans and a t-shirt. They would be buying beer and would be running around with at least one other male.
SO....
MARRIED MEN......

shop alone

know what to get

know where to find it

realize beer is cheaper
at the liquor store

grocery list is small

normal dress nothing fancy

***any age***

SINGLE MEN....

shop with others

have no clue what to get

have no clue where to find it

buy their beer at the grocery because they have no budget
or desire to save money

their grocery list is large

normal dress with that freshly showered look and smell

***any age***
