@bobsal u1553115,
Living in Southampton I'm very close to Glastonbury, I go to Somerset quite a bit, although not always as far as Glastonbury.
Canterbury is a city, it has a cathedral that makes it a city, in fact it has THE cathedral, the first one, set up by St Augustine, that makes it an ancient city.
I grew up in Kent and went on a school trip to Canterbury Cathedral, I was given the talk by some high up cleric and I thin, some of it rubbed off.
I don't think it was the archbishop, I think Runcie was in situ at the time and he was coffin dodging from the off.
When I say the talk I don't mean sex, we were all primary kids, I know year's what vicars are supposed to do but he didn't. He spoke about Augustine sainting along at a slave market, that's how saintly he was, when he saw some London slaves and remarked they looked like Angels.
This is the sales patter here, a slogan that amongst all the usual religious paraphernalia, that is unique to Canterbury cathedral and features on many a plate mug and ashtray, not angels but Angles.
At that point Saint Augustine said that he would convert the **** out of them. I don't know if those were his exact words, but you get the jist.
